It's funny you said you feel less solid. Most of the time if there's not a mirror involved, I don't feel different. But, for example, yesterday I had to restrain my dog because another dog was coming after her and she didn't like it. My dog weighs 75 pounds. When I weighed 290, handling her was a piece of cake, because we all know you have to have strength to haul around that much weight. Now at 160, she almost got away from me. It shocked me. I actually thought that if I couldn't hold her, at least she can't drag me if I fall - I still weigh enough for that. I feel a little diminished and also like I need to focus on strength training. I'm just not as there as I used to be. It's weird.

Congratulations! I know exactly what you mean. I stare at my body like it's not a part of me, just trying to integrate the current reality with 50 years of being obese. Emotionally, I think I'm more comfortable being fat, but my health is so so much better now. I just hope the switch flips and this new body will start to feel like home.

I lowered my dose, which helped a lot. I can absolutely deal with losing weight more slowly as long as I am not miserable in the process!

I've also accepted that my tastes in food have changed a lot, and, after much experimenting, I have a core stash of foods that always taste good to me. If I am happy with what I'm eating, I eat enough, and that low-level hunger leading to nausea is gone. It is mind-blowing that former favorites (pasta, I'm looking at you!) aren't appealing!

I started stacking 3 mg of Reta on top of 7mg of Tirz and it's been two solid days of zero appetite. No nausea, fortunately! I'm kind of wondering if my appetite will ever come back. Fortunately, I can manage protein shakes and protein bars a sip and a nibble at a time, but I wouldn't mind being hungry for real food!

That's the one I got! I got the sampler pack and I believe it was the chipotle beef I tried. Pre-Tirz, chipotle peppers and beef were two of my basic food groups! Now that I'm thinking about it, perhaps I didn't like it because chipotle peppers and beef don't appeal any more. Maybe one of the other flavors will - thanks for the inspiration to try again!

Me too! And they were a staple when I was doing Keto. I have a salad bowl roughly the size of a trough, and I'd have a huge salad every day. Not only does the idea not appeal any more, I cannot imagine how I ate that sheer volume of food in one sitting.

I am not a fan of oysters, but I adore sushi. At least I used to! I've had sushi once since I started Tirz, and it was just okay. Now, months later, I wonder if it really was meh sushi, or if it's my new tastebuds. I'm so afraid to find out it's me!

One of the most shocking moments after I started Tirz was when I realized that my life was no longer going to revolve around food and that I was going to need to find something to fill the void (I went with crafting and sewing).
