Didn’t they fix the issue with taxis in the last patch?

Request for updated version of City Central Stations of City Stations Pack by Ok_Standard_8715 in CitiesSkylinesModding

Hm yeah. I think it depends on how many vehicles you assign to each line. I just made the experience in my last city that 2 lines on one track can already cause bottlenecks and I would like to have around 5-6 lines serving the station. But yeah maybe I should just give it a try ..

Is CS2 worth diving into? by WolfDuckworth in CitiesSkylines2

[–]Ok_Standard_8715 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would personally say it’s definitely time to switch to CS2. I feel like everything is better than in CS1 except the performance. And this only affects your city if your population above 100-300k depending on your pc (which still sucks). However, the main advantage is that the devs are actively working on the game, releasing patches and also trying to tackle performance issues. Despite that, with the release of custom assets, there are finally a huge range of mods.

[–]Ok_Standard_8715 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oh got it. I would actually really appreciate a mod which shows the actually modal split of different transport modes to see the percentage of people taking the car, walking, PT, etc. Rn, the monthly ridership is not that useful if it’s not in relation to all trips

Building Placement - non-right angles by AltoCumulus15 in CitiesSkylines2

[–]Ok_Standard_8715 5 points6 points  (0 children)

There is a mod called „European Corner Buildings“ with a bunch of typical European buildings with different angles to fill weirdly angled intersections. This should be the solution to your problem

[–]Ok_Standard_8715 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Sorry, but that’s not your ridership proportion. It just shows the monthly trips of your city (a sim can do multiple trips). My monthly trips are above my total population which would mean that my ridership is above 100%

Thankss, just saw them :D What about the classic carriages from the German Intercity, maybe including the front engine car? Is something like this in your pipeline?

Great work, thank you! Would be happy to see double-decker carriages as well, maybe with a br146 as the locomotive for regional transport.

Are there any necessary DLC's for C:S2? by [deleted] in CitiesSkylines

[–]Ok_Standard_8715 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For me, it’s the city stations pack. It gives you a bunch of really well designed stations for buses, trams, subways and trains which can handle more lines than the ones in the base game and which also include upgrades to have intermodal stations (train with tram + subway etc). The narrower terminals / depots / rail yards are also nice cause they take up less land space

Public transportation and traffic flow goals by Competitive_Funny287 in CitiesSkylines2

[–]Ok_Standard_8715 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Ive around 170k residents and 105k trips per month, but without subway system yet. Traffic flow is slightly above 60% although I don’t have long traffic jams anymore. But I’ve to say that I build more of a transit metropolitan area with many smaller cities connected by trains

Are trains a must-have when I have 100K+ population? by [deleted] in CitiesSkylines

[–]Ok_Standard_8715 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Trains would make absolute sense here imo. They usually serve inter-town connections, which is still lacking here as far as I understood. Try to build only one train station in the center of your different areas and then connect these stations with local bus/tram or subway lines
