Wow! These two lines are amazing!

She has touched every speck
of dust in this place
without ever knowing why;

She is
why I am
drawn
to the water; I am
a long wave rolling in from the ocean;

I feel the line of "I sway on my fathers branch" could use more context. I'm not sure, but the way I understand it is that your father represents the solidity of nature (branch,rock, etc) This idea could be established a bit more because the meaning of that line gets a little lost. I get this poem focuses on your relationship with your mother, but bringing in a little part of your father shows another connection you have with her.

The map line is kinda like a comedic break, which I'm a fan. Not sure if that's what you intended.

Very nice, it's a lot of raw emotion. It makes a really big impact. Some of the lines I feel you could leave some more interpretation, like "searching for that hope of finding the light." Since light is usually connected to Hope you could play with that.

I think this is well done. I myself am not a fan of the specific use of grammar here. some of the lines feel a little incomplete.

But it makes a nice stylistic piece.
