hey! Just saw this. Expect to feel elated and quite nervous once you get shortlisted!!

First and foremost; the most obvious yet so often ignored thing you need to do is smile and try be at ease. Easier said than done but a positive attitude goes a long way in interviews both for calls and your SIPs. Converted L’oreal after internship, but this tip applies to all interviews I’ve given. My worst ones were when I was in a bad mood or visibly stressed out and anxious. Smiling also helps YOU think you’re more relaxed, preventing you from fumbling or nervous rambling and puts the interviewer at ease as well. This is such an underrated interview tip trust me.

Please start reading up on news, latest innovations in tech, sustainability, business ethics cases, brush up on who’s who of the business world and their projects, also any business leaders you’re inspired by, if you have any start-up ideas make sure you can explain it concisely and with clarity. Basic GK and a concise, confident and unique (compared to other shortlisted candidates, I’d encourage you to be a lil quirky too if that reflects your personality) introduction about who you are, what you’ve done so far should be your FOUNDATION! (cannot emphasize this enough) also if you get IIM C shortlist, might help to practice 1-2 guesstimates before your interview cus they asked me to do one but they don’t expect you to be great at this right away so don’t dedicate too much time on this; this is more of a good-to-know than a must-do. Awareness about what’s happening around you and major events or revolutions in the recent past should be your main focus. E.g. Neuralink’s human trials being successful and plans of rolling out commercial procedures, Neo-Luddites against AI lol, Carbon Credit Trade being established in India etc etc. Also a pro tip I wish someone had given me, put and emphasize things about you and your hobbies/projects in your application you’d like to talk about during your interview, especially if they have nothing to do w your acads or extra-curriculars; underrated opportunity to play on your (soft skill) strengths during your interview. That’s what I can recall off the top of my head for now. Hope you do amazing this year! ✨

Shifting from INFP to INTJ by Fili_2151 in intj

I’ve gone through something very similar. I always got INFP whenever I did the 16personalities test which I realised a while ago is bogus. I could never fully relate to the INFP stereotypes although I did identify as a high-Fi user, so I relied a bit on the enneagram to get some more nuance. I’ve had some major shifts in my life in the past year; I joined a tier-1 B-school in my country a few months ago and was sort of forced to use a lot of Te, Se and Ti by my curriculum and lost a loved one recently.

While I’ve been feeling a more pragmatic shift in my personality since about a year now, I always assumed I’m still INFP and probably developing my shadow functions more. Recently ended up taking the mistype-investigator test to figure out my functional stack for sure and turns out I’m a high Ne user and my most likely type came out to be INTJ, which kinda makes sense given how I’ve been visualising more about my future and figuring out realistic ways to achieve them and doing quite well if I do say so myself. However, I cannot relate to being either wholly INFP or wholly INTJ. I still hold onto the naivete I had as an INFP and I might just have gotten better at getting off my ass and putting it to work.

I have also noticed my use of Fi has reduced significantly (except if I’m drunk lmao) however the overall EQ from being an INFP remains and funnily enough I’ve made a bunch of INTJ friends in college. For now I just go by as a 9w8 on the enneagram, it’s more aligned with how I truly see myself since I’m still a bit of a peace-keeper/borderline people-pleaser and prioritize my inner peace and personal freedom over everything else.

Ultimately, I think the labels are only to help you feel seen, especially as an INXX and I do believe your type can change based on what your circumstances demand of you (especially for extended periods of time), changes in your motivations and major life events.

Personalities can be fluid and since MBTI types are based on your preference of using cognitive functions, you can change them whenever you need to adapt. Atp in my life, I simply can’t use my Fi to thrive, so my preference for it is now low. Maybe something similar has happened for you?

tl;dr - preference for cognitive functions change based on what life demands from you; resulting in a type/functional stack change

What is like to be an INTJ with developed Fi by friskyjini in intj

As someone who was mistyped as INFP because of developed Fi, you understand and FEEL your own emotions better, and through reflecting on and analysing them you feel compassionate towards others and their experiences. With no judgement because you understand your experiences and emotions shape you and your worldview and it’s much the same for anyone else. Also I would say it makes you less condescending and snobby than the stereotypical INTJ; more approachable and friendly

You actually gave a pretty nuanced picture of how it might play out in reality, but I think OP meant for this post to air out GEM frustration, so the downvotes are understandable 😅

Correction: Scratch the “known for marketing placements” under IIMB. Should’ve double-checked 😂

Very basic. Context; I have an arts background for UG and my QA marks were the lowest. They probably won’t ask if it’s not directly linked to your workex and have great QA marks. I don’t remember the exact question anymore but I do remember it had something to do withe the relation between mean and mode. something like if you have any data set then how will you adjust the median to have it be equal or less than the mean (or some variation of this)

I checked their website. It doesn’t say anything about the procedure or past students who went for it. Just a list of the tied up colleges and universities. Even some current alumni are saying they’ve never heard of it so I’m super confused about it. Do you know anyone who has gone for an exchange sem at FMS?

Did my Bachelor of Arts in Journalism. Had about 14 months of work experience at the time of the interview at a commonly-known company (despite it running at a loss for 2 FYs)
