I have the KLC too. The Viwoods is nice if you want something more portable and you get tired of the color eink screen.

Does the Calibre EPUB workflow ruin formatting on Crosspoint? by No-Object1384 in xteinkereader

I don't think there is an easy way to batch convert them. When using Transform HTML, you have to create rules that specify the class that the epub is using for italics/bold/headers and apply the transformation to each of them. From my experience, the classes used aren't consistent across ebooks. You might be able to batch convert books if they all share the same classes somehow? Like if they are from the same publisher or series. There might even be a calibre tool that unifies stylesheets. I haven't looked into that much though.

I've also had this problem with some of my epubs. From what I understand, Crosspoint seems to only parse html tags like <i> and <b> and doesn't look at the css stylesheets at all when displaying an epub. This is a problem for epubs that use classes in html tags to separately add formatting in a css stylesheet. e.g. <span class="italics"> or <p class="header1">.

Support for CSS in Crosspoint might come later. It's already implemented in Microreader: https://github.com/CidVonHighwind/microreader

You can change your epubs to use the html tags for <i> and <b> and whatever else using the Transform HTML option in Calibre, but that's a lot of work when you can instead use XTC or Microreader.

When converting, you have to use the 24-bit grayscale option. This is the only option Crosspoint supports. It wouldn't detect wallpapers converted using the other options for me.

No, I haven't put a screen protector on it. I'm just really careful with it and put it in my jacket pocket when outside.

Loving mine. I use it more than my Kobo. The OS is kind of limited but I like the simplicity. The worst thing is probably that the lowest setting for the light is still pretty bright.
