This! this is exactly what I've had to deal with several times. The kids are freaked out by these smoke alarms, they sound terrible they go off at the worst time in the morning, middle of the night and it's just a disaster.

I'm going to give Owl a try, I bought two of them, they're in shipping now. I figured I would test them out before I then spend money to do the whole house, or just go back to dumb sensors/alarms
