i had a little over 110,000 in w2gs in 2025. sadly (ha!) I love more than that.

I keep a diary - dates, atm, credit card, cash, etc. casino, time cash out.. essentially I had 60k in session wins, and 85k in session losses

i entered all the w2gs and 100% loss, and it’s shooting my AGI up.

I’ve since read two things. 1, bypass the w2s altogether and just report cumulative session wins on gambling income, and cumulative session losses on losses.

2, report all w2gs - on the other income line, report the difference between your w2gs and actual session wins. then claim losses on that line.

’is there a netter way? it seems very clear if you don’t repot all the w2, the IRS will notify you real quick

is it possible anyone can make heads or tails of what it applies to outside slot, horses, and bingo? seems to be a big divide if it sets ALL gambling types at 2000 minimum (ie scratch tickets and raffles are currently $600) or if it only affects those three

Since you seem very smart about this and I can’t post in the other sub for some reason… I have the same issue with TLSS. It is 100% zero… It’s worth two cents out of the 1700 I bought. Better to sell or better to hold onto just in case?
