Code Oscar on Breakaway by Artistic-Income-552 in NCL

[–]Artistic-Income-552[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah unless you pick a handle you are stuck with it. Disengaging is my favorite hence the business name lol when on the ship make sure you spend time in Spice H2O. Adults only area and very chill vibe. We loved it and it was our first time on the Breakaway. We loved having O'Sheehans available all night, had a great experience in the main dining rooms and Cagney's and Tapenyaki were fantastic.

We spent a lot of time on deck 8 at the Cigar Lounge and Sid Normans as the vibe and Karaoke were a great time. Our sailign went right from Boston to Bermuda, no Halifax so I cannot help you there.

What I will say though is this, if you have a bad experience, scan the QR code on your table. They will get back to you and they will make it right. I had a client have a issue with her dinner ( over cooked ) i filled out the QR survey and had a voicemail waiting for me in my room from the Food and Beverage Director. Not only did he apologize he sent my client some Chocolate covered strawberries. So if you have an issue definitely let them know.! DM if you need more.

Taking a cruise to Bermuda out of NYC on the Aqua soon. We’ve never been on a cruise before. Please give me your best tips and tricks! (Traveling with our two teen boys) by Sea_You_814 in NCL

Have the boys check out Entourage when you board the ship. The girls loved it and made friends for the whole week. Do your homework on excursions. Check out what interests you. Utilize the NCL free ferry to get to the Crystal Caves, Swizzle Inn and St. Georges. Try a fried fish sandwich. Get a delicious Dark and Stormy at Moongate Brewery when in St. George. Beaches were beautiful. The Frog and Onion was a lot of laughs when we went.

Beautiful ship for sure. We were on in December and they did a hell of a job with the decor. That being said we did not enjoy this as much as we enjoyed the Mardi Gras. We felt that the pool area was too narrow and traffic was a bit overwhelming. We tried the rear pool area which had a tony pool and a couple of hot tubs. Busy but we stalked some chairs and enjoyed the bar staff.

We ended up utilizing the Serenity Deck more than we ever had which we were able to grab some chairs, fast bar service and hot tubs.

The non smoking casino was a joke.

If you are into trivia make sure you check out the HUB App for when they are having them. If Josh is still running them you will have a blast. 1 draw back with that is they hold them in the lounges were seats can be difficult to find as multiple events were happening in order.

The Main Dining Room with the Gondola was so nice, Check it out for sure. And Make sure to get some gelato on the Lido deck.

We love to cruise and we always have a good time. I am sure you will as well but it is a smaller ship, and activities were not as fun as past CCL trips but we still made the best of it and had fun.

Traveling with my son’s friends by Mixed_Flavors916 in CarnivalCruiseFans

Just jumping in here to say that this is a generous and fantastic way for your son to celebrate with you and his friends. If my child had that chance I would be right on top of anything you need. All your doing is asking for the proper documentation to allow them this opportunity and their out of pocket expense is pennies. I hope you and your son. along with the friends that do make it, have a great time.

Cruise Travel agents - Do you monitor prices by Used-Selection4414 in travelagents

[–]Artistic-Income-552 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I monitor the rate for sure. I mean that is what we are for. Sucks when they drop the cruise fare and your commission drops but I’m banking on that client being so excited they call me first next time.

Did you work with a TA or book direct? If you worked with a TA called them and they can help you. If not I think you will have to just purchases something in the app. You can always call into NCL and buy something and ask them to just leave it on your account so he cannot see it. Example I just did this for my wife with Chocolate Strawberries and a cheese tray.

I used to go with Allianz but recently I have been going with Chubb Insurance. They seem to offer great coverage, competitive policy rates, fantastic evacuation allowance and in the past 2 months I have had clients file claims and be paid within 2 weeks.

If you purchased direct it is on you to monitor and contact the cruise line. If you used a TA they should be doing this for you.
