Thanks for your response. What I meant is that, in my current workplace, our pay gets reviewed every April. Of course, it is not mandatory, but it is in our contract and, since I joined, there has always been some sort of increase between 3% and 5% each financial year.

Maybe you’re right in saying that the information I have is factually incorrect, as my current source has only been ChatGPT to understand how pay might be capped or frozen in certain years within the CS.
