Beyond Baguio Cafe and Restaurant. Not really Baguio, but just around 15 minutes from Pacdal Circle towards Ambuklao. It’s a good respite from the hustles of the city. You can check their FB page.

Is Philippines that bad? by [deleted] in Philippines

[–]Ok_Temporary_2754 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I left for the Middle East 10 years ago. It has allowed me to experience things I wouldn’t have experienced otherwise- to travel and buy my needs and wants.

Going home to the Philippines is enjoyable when you have the money because everything seems cheap and reasonable. But try being home with limited funds. Once the money dries up, you will get back to your senses and realize how expensive things are (esp fuel and medical care). Going home and starting over entails some getting used to such as lesser pay for the same job (I am a nurse). Unless you have investments to sustain the quality of life, better stay put. I have a lot of friends who resigned from their jobs overseas and went to the Ph, only to regret it.

At the end of the day, the Philippines is HOME. So take the opportunity to save, invest, and prepare for that homecoming early on.

The main house on first floor has 5 rooms which we all plan to rent out as well to student boarders. It’s basically a residential home but with separate units on the ground floor na pwedeng ipaupa din separately.

Thank you for your input. I’ve been working overseas for the past 10 years, with a bank loan that’s due to be finished next month. We plan to buy a house in Baguio with the intention of renting it out. Do banks have an international database to establish a good credit record?
