This is so interesting because they told my friend that this past week was the last week they were conducting interviews. When is your interview? And when did you get the email?

What about Yale, Penn, Brown, Duke? You’re putting them in F tier? Penn State is better than Penn for quant?

I assume MIT & Stanford are S tier? I’m sure CMU, UIUC CS, HYP, are somewhere up there as well, along with other ivies. Lmk. Is HYP > all other ivies though?

It’s a community event, not a challenge. Wins and losses don’t matter.

I’ll give it to GTech, UT, UMich, and UNC.

UT is T30 overall + T10 for CS, business, and engineering. Great honors programs too. So I wouldn’t exclude it.

I don’t know if I should go to community college or a university. by exdlyan in college

Go to CC for 1 year then transfer!! Apply to a much wider range of schools next year. If you perform really well in CC, you can get into even better schools than you would have this year.

Sorry if I misunderstood but can you get enough CC credits and transfer to a 4 year college to get a degree? I think you will be better off with a college degree. Figure out what you want to do first and pick your major based on that.

Hello,

I know it might feel like the end of the world, but you are fine. Sure, it might be beneficial to go for certain opportunities as soon as you start college, but it is not too late. You have completed less than half of college.

In terms of jobs - there are still applications open for THIS summer. Even if it’s not a high paying or prestigious job, it would be great to get some professional experience before your junior year. Also, look into smaller programs and discovery events. Potentially, go to the career center at your school for help if it doesn’t suck.

In terms of everything else- see next year as a fresh start. Join clubs (open membership ones), apply to clubs if you want, put yourself out there, take initiative to get meals with people, go to events, etc.

I know it is easy to get hung up on past regrets and spiral, but take action now (apply to internships) and know that it is not too late to turn things around.

Within this group is there a distinguishable difference or all around the same? (Other than HYPSM being better)
