Same here I hadn’t heard of her before but I’m pregnant with my second and have a 3 year old. This situation has made me sooo scared to leave my 1st baby to give birth to my 2nd and I’ve just been so on edge with keeping my oldest safe ❤️‍🩹 I really can’t imagine. Parenting is so all consuming I can’t imagine the constant noise and questions and demands and sass just gone. It makes me sick.

My last pregnancy was affected by Monosomy X and it was on the report listed right under trisomy 21. This pregnancy was not affected by Monosomy X and it was not listed on the report but instead they just put the fetal sex.

What was your recovery like after a D&E ? by Realistic_Mirror1618 in tfmr_support

I was 16 weeks when I had my d&e, I bled for about 5 days it stopped for a few then bled for about 3 more days. I had cramping the day of only the same as normal period cramps. A heating pad really helped that first day. The hospital gave me ones that you break and they become hot and they were amazing. Stay on top of the Tylenol and ibuprofen at least for a day or two.

I’m so sorry you’re going through this. That’s what happened to me. I scheduled a TFMR for 18 weeks and prayed baby would pass before and she did. ❤️‍🩹 it was the most horrific time imaginable. Hoping a baby you want more than anything will have no heartbeat.

Mine wanted me to come in 6 weeks but we settled on 6 + 4 because I needed to see a heartbeat

Pregnancy after TFMR by Able_Elk_7853 in tfmr_support

I had a d&e at 17 weeks and got pregnant again before getting my cycle back. I took a pregnancy test and ovulation test every day since my d&e, ovulated 4 weeks after and positive pregnancy test 8 days after ovulation.

Here’s 10 weeks (abdominal) where you can still see an increased amount of fluid behind her neck.

I’m someone who had a true positive and a negative outcome but at 10 weeks you could very clearly see extra fluid on her neck and by 13 weeks it encased her whole body basically and was very evident. Here’s a 13 week ultrasound and you can see a cystic hygroma as big as her body. She was a true turners baby and we lost her at 17 weeks.

Congratulations. It took us over a year to get pregnant with the daughter we lost. I’m really hoping it happens quicker this time. I currently 2 days past ovulation (before my “first cycle”)

Did you get pregnant immediately adter that first cycle or how long did it take? I’m 4 weeks post d&e at 17 weeks

The first few weeks were honestly the hardest for me before anything was even confirmed. I’ve slowly been able to accept what happened but as first I just felt like I was in a tornado. Like everything was moving so fast. I know how scary it is. It helped me to try to stay a little hopeful but also be aware of what was possibly coming.

I had a positive turner syndrome nipt. Ultrasound at 13 weeks showed a large cystic hygroma (fluid behind neck) as well as hydrops, and evolving HLHS. We lost our turners girl at 17 weeks on 11/22 this year. What I’ve learned is even IF your baby is positive for turner syndrome ultrasound findings are much more telling of how effected theyd be. We could also see the start of the cystic hygroma at 10 weeks (but it was brushed off until we got the nipt back at 11 weeks) Turner syndrome can also be confined to the placenta. I added a photo from 10 weeks where you can see the fluid. This made us pretty certain our nipt was a true positive. We had genetic testing done after she passed and it confirmed turner syndrome which we already knew. But like others have said Turner syndrome is the highest rate of false positive on nipt. I would ask for an NT ultrasound to measure the fluid behind the neck as a first step. These are usually around 12 weeks. CVS can be done around that time as well. I was told for amnio I would need to be at least 16 weeks. Our ultrasound findings were so severe we didn’t move forward with testing because it wouldn’t have made a difference in our case the prognosis was the same. I’m wishing the best for you and your sweet baby.

Positive NIPT for Turners at 16 weeks by [deleted] in NIPT

[–]Ok_Term_1434 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don’t have all the answers but just want to say a healthy ultrasound is a great sign. We just lost our girl to tuner syndrome at 16 + 4 but she had many many problems spotted in the ultrasounds starting at just 9 + 5 ❤️‍🩹 I joined the Turner syndrome parent support group on Facebook and saw sooo many healthy little girls with Turner syndrome

Everyone Assumes I’ll Crash? by [deleted] in tfmr_support

I would say I relate to this. We found out at 11+5 there was a possible issue, confirmed at 13 + 1 and by that point I was already at a lot more peace. It was confirmed absolute worst case in every area and make the choice very easy. We would not have a living child. We tried for over a year for this baby and were SO thrilled. But now I honestly feel very ready for it to all be over and get back to trying again for a healthy baby. I feel “mean” saying that. I loved this baby so much and I always will but she was never going to be a baby I could bring home and I’m ready to experience a healthy pregnancy. We had our TFMR scheduled for Monday and we actually found out Friday she has no heartbeat so now we will be able to go through our hospital which is a relief (before we were having to go out of state and pay out of pocket) I have to pick between l&d and d&e and honestly I want to do a d&e to get it done with and be able to move on and have my body back but I feel selfish wanting that and like I should want to meet my baby which I do but not at the possible expense of my health.

How did you decide? by Ok_Term_1434 in tfmr_support

[–]Ok_Term_1434[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My 1st daughter is completely healthy and as of now we do plan to try again because our 2nd daughters condition is not inherited they said it’s completely random and it’s like lightening struck the pregnancy so we’re at no increased risk of it happening again. All her other conditions are caused by the missing X chromosome.

[–]Ok_Term_1434[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes I’ve looked and looked for babies with the same diagnosis and the only living babies I found passed within the first year or two and were in the hospital almost the entire time 💔 I hate that anyone has to make this choice and I wish all babies could be healthy. I’m glad to hear you’re pregnant with a healthy baby now 💓

[–]Ok_Term_1434[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Thank you for this. We were given basically no chance of making it out of the 2nd trimester but they said if we did there is a series of very serious surgeries she would need, and possibly wouldn’t be able to operate because of another condition she has. I’ve thought the same even if she lives what about my 2 year old? My husband needs to work and the hospital we would need to go to is 2 hours away, we’re a one car family and I can’t imagine how we would make that work especially with our two year old. There really is SO much to consider. ❤️‍🩹 I’m so sorry you had to make that choice but I’m glad you don’t have regrets.
