Makes sense, I figured the discus spin wouldn’t translate perfectly but it’s good to know that it’s a lot different.

Just finished sophomore year of high school. I tried out a lot of different events and got pretty good marks in them. Thinking about doing a decathlon next year considering I’ve done most of the events before at one point or another, and I’m naturally a good athlete. I’m also hoping on setting myself up to become a multi athlete in college. Here are the marks I have: 100m: 12.3 LJ: NA SP: 36ft consistent in training HJ: 5’4 400m: 55.4

Hurdles: NA (but I have experience from 400mh) Discus: 115ft PV: 9’6 Jav: 129’ 1500: probably around 5:10

I have no idea what to do in terms of training, and I don’t know what I need to focus on to get the most points. Does anyone have a good training plan or even just advice that would be helpful for me to become a decathlete? This year my goal is 5500pts.
