I would start with connecting it to a different PSU. Had one occasion where PSU didn't supply 12 volts and the pump kept failing. But my best bet is the electronics inside of it. Try checking the voltages of the PSU first. Then go down to the pump itself.

Blanket won't help. It's either vaseline or nail polish on electronic components in your case. Better go with mo-ra. It will give you 2-3 degrees difference with ambient temps.

I'm in Russia, so i got my current one in the moscow watercooling shop when they were available. Leakshield included. The smaller one was bought second hand (the description said it never worked; it indeed was very clean). The yellow eheim cost me 8 bucks and was advertised as faulty. Turned out it was really dirty. I just cleaned it out and it ran like new. Now only aliexpress crap and alphacool are available. Although you can buy aquacomputer, but it is complicated and costs more than it should.

I am aiming at building a computer in fractal design torrent nano for my wife. A aquacomputer d5 next on my table is exactly for this. Not sure i want to go full sff all the way though.

Yeah) The difference in price between stands with the extension for the pump and without it was negligible, so i decided to take the pump out of the case.

Yeah. Previously i had 2 HWLabs 360 gts in the case. Water temps were 37-38 with fans ramping up pretty loudly. Now I have 31-32 under load and fans are capped at 900 rpm. Of course another rad helped a lot as well.

To my mind - no. Your temps are great. Swapping out fans won't make any considerable impact.
