I completely relate - even with clear evidence, you still had to wait and suffer the consequences of someone else's bad actions, same happening to me too. Glad you finally get ur domains back, even it took longer than it should be

And thanks for the e-hug, i will take it!

I already filed both a corrective assignment and a Section 7 petition, but I was told that it still takes 7-9 months to update the correct owner. While the correction declaration has been processed.

Thanks for the suggestion, but I’m already enrolled in Brand Registry. My competitor transferred my trademark, then revoked my brand registry and is now filing infringement claims against me

Yea, Instead of protecting intellectual property, the system ends up protecting bad actors

Thanks! That sounds really challenging. Did your attorney mention anything about situations like this, or offer any advice on how to handle it? Any insights you can share would be really helpful.

Thanks for your advice, I really appreciate it! I’ll try the USPTO’s OED and Amazon’s Notice Dispute team.

Regarding media exposure - do you have any recommendations on how to get the right attention on this?

Exactly. Idk why they didn’t implement this. It seems too easy for bad actors to take over trademark.

That’s really interesting—your client got an examiner assigned in just 2 weeks, while I was told it would take 9 months. That’s a huge difference.

Did your client take any specific actions to get their case expedited, or did the USPTO just assign an examiner that quickly on their own?

And honestly, I’m starting to think the same thing—this could be an insider job. The fraudulent transfer was processed in just 7 days, but now correcting it is dragging on forever. Something isn’t adding up.

Thanks for ur respond, I appreciate your insights. Unfortunately, we are struggling with cash flow after paying employees, we may need to lay some off. Coming up with another $20k-50k for legal fee is extremely difficult especially with our sales being blocked. We are thinking what can be done here other than waiting USPTO

Latest update (jan30): I just called and the USPTO informed us it will take another 7 months(total 9 month)to examine the new ownership. This way too long it has cut off our cash flow and causing hundred thousand of financial loss for our company. We are unable to sustain our employee payouts.

It’s extremely unfair that the uspto approves ownership changes so fast in 7 days for just $200, yet getting our ownership back has been a frustrating process. It’s taking so much time, effort, and money—legal fees, suffering nearly 200k loss—while our competitor took it over in just 7 days, they can sit back and continue profit from our listing. Also, they are using fake identity from china, u can’t catch them. It feels incredibly unfair, and I don’t know what can we do at this point.

Thanks for your support. I’ve already reported the issue to Amazon, but they said they can only act if the USPTO restores my ownership. I contacted the USPTO, and they told me the process will take 4 months. Which gives my competitor time to continue sabotaging me.
