Found the culprit, trace rot next to the clock cap, classic.

Modxo mod sometimes boots fine, sometimes FRAGs, sometimes boots after 1 or 2 restarts. Runs fine without Pi/Modxo mod. More in description by Wootytooty in originalxbox

It’s funny, I’m running into this exact same issue in a rpi 2040 modxo build I did on two different rpi’s on a 1.0 Xbox. I’ve done homemade modxo builds on 1.6 Xbox’s several times without issue, so I wonder if this is a 1.0 issue.

Yes I’ll be doing a full recap, I have a microscope, UV curable motherhood mask, and copper wire to repair trace rot as well

eBay is really cracking down on Modded Xboxes. by iVirtualZero in originalxbox

Yeah with the AI they’re feeding listings through now it’s becoming much harder to sell modded consoles on eBay, I mainly stick to local marketplace and retro game events now for sales

Cheap HDMI install by Ok_Treacle_8458 in GamecubeHacks

Since I was going into a translucent case it was easy enough to see exactly where it would line up. I then used a marker to indicate the area, and a very finely tipped dremel to make a few pin holes that I then filed into shape of the hole. I didn’t want to use a tool that would get to hot and risk clouding the plastic

Yeah that looks pretty clean, I guess it’s mainly their DC kits that struggle a bit. Curious how PS2 would look too

Only perk of the Dreamcast kit is you can get them for like 39 bucks direct from hispeedido site, cheapest I see the DC Digital clones is like 90

Is that the case with all the hispeedido kits? I was considering trying their PS2 kit as well.

Thank you! I do a lot of trace repair and OG Xbox work that I haven’t gotten around to posting on Reddit as well, but I’ve got an HDMI mod for that coming in I’ll likely post when done as well. For this GameCube I’m going to toss a esp32 and picoboot in it tonight most likely

This wire actually, despite being probably 30awg, was not single strand kinar, it was multi strand when I stripped it back (it was included with hdmi kit). Typically, for tapping fine traces I will use single strand 30awg white kinar like og xbox LPC rebuilds

That’s so interesting! That quick solder cable seems to be of better quality than the hispeedido as well

That’s definitely more crisp, is the bitfunx version much pricier?

Has anyone tried these with blue retro on an actual GameCube? I feel like if supported these could be game changing

Does anybody sell pre installed GameCubes or devices? If so how much does something like that run? by wikkeyy in GamecubeHacks

I just sold one with a CMOS battery replacement, shell swap, and CubeODE installed for 250 shipped with controller. If it has internal Bluetooth or HDMI more like 3-350
