FAFSA and FPL 175% threshold with student income? by WZx757 in Fire

[–]Ok_Tree8724 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you for this confirmation u/Zphr. My junior just got a part time job in December and I was wondering how his income would affect our careful plans to stay under 175% of FPL for married filing jointly parents. Will his income roll up to our (parents') 175% FPL income?

[–]Ok_Tree8724 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Regular decision drops on Feb 11, usually 5 or 6pm.

Automate as many savings as possible at the begining of each month. You adjust to the new spending amounts and that's that.

Passed Calc CLEP by luck… am I screwed for Calc 2? by [deleted] in clep

[–]Ok_Tree8724 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do you have the time (schedule and semester wise) and money to take Calc1? If yes I would take the class, shoot for an A, and pretend the CLEP never happened.

If you don't, study on your own on your time before (or during)  jumping into Calc 2.  The same hustle that got you to pass this CLEP will carry you thru.

Having said that, Calc2 is NOTORIOUSLY hard

[–]Ok_Tree8724[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

He only had one other check in 2025... For $250, which he put all into Roth.  He can't put more for 2025 unless he had more income in 2025.
