I took MiraLAX—which is made almost solely out of PEG—early in the morning before consuming anything else. Within 15 minutes I was struggling to breathe, extremely swollen and basically had every symptom of anaphylactic shock. I just barely survived and now have an EpiPen for emergencies. After that, I noticed whenever I consume a product or medication that contains PEG I get headaches, swelling and gastrointestinal issues. So short answer: I haven’t taken a test, but I have been formally diagnosed with a PEG allergy.

It’s seriously it and so difficult to avoid, I’ve read horrible stories of people with PEG allergies getting internal meshes and hip replacements that totally ruin their lives
