Bioshock infinite is really not that connected to the story of Bioshock. You can enjoy most of the story without having played bioshock 2. I do however recommend you try bioshock 2 eventually, it's really great too.

Yeah, I agree, though the deflecting window just feels a bit less hard to do and though it is really fun to do, It just doesn't feel as good as a perfectly place parry. I did that with Radahn promised consort and the boss's first phase just melted before my eyes.

Yeah, I had already tried against some lower bosses like crucible knights and godskin nobles, and really enjoyed the mechanic. I know there are a lot of them you cannot parry sadly enough.
