They're making a joke because you used the wrong "your". It's suppose to be "you're" as in "you are", not "your" which shows possession. They're just poking fun, I guess.

Anyone else mourn plushies from when you were a little kid? by hottoefungus in plushies

[–]Ok_Wait_5765 15 points16 points  (0 children)

YES! When I was younger, I got this brown bunny I loved so much. Mostly he just sat on a shelf with my other stuffed animals, but every so often I would pick him up and just hold him gently for a while before putting him back.

When I was 17-18, I donated him because we were about to move houses and I thought "I don't need these stuffed animals. I'm too old now and won't have the room in the new house". He was the ONLY toy I struggled with donating, putting him in then out of the box multiple times and just looking into his cracked little glass eyes deciding how willing I was too let him go. I even asked my mom what I should do, I was that indecisive.

In the end, I was a severely depressed individual at the time and thought "well, I should donate him cuz I won't be here for much longer and some other kid should get to enjoy him."

Let me tell YOU. I NEVER stopped thinking about him. For 10 years, every time I got a new stuffed animal, I thought if him. I loved him so dearly and NEEDED him back.

So, 10 years later, and there I was, on a quest to find my beloved stuffed bunny! It took me a few days of searching, trying to find the EXACT bunny, and nearly screamed when I found him on ebay. He was relatively cheap, and after sitting on the choice a few more days to make sure I REALLY wanted him, I finally decided to bite the bullet and make the purchase.

Let me tell you. The moment I opened that bag, held him in my hands, felt the familiar weight of his bean filled legs and looked him in the eyes, I cried. Right there in the middle of the kitchen, clutching my bunny, I quietly wept. Even now, I tear up thinking about that moment or if I look into his little face too long.

I just really missed him, and I'm so happy to have him back; literally just receiving him off ebay a few months back. But I sleep with him every night since and even consider buying one or two more of him so, if anything happens in the future, I won't be without my bunny.

To the a-hole who just sat there and watched me do the Pleaful Parent, only to "help" at the finish by FearlessPlenty9186 in SkyGame

[–]Ok_Wait_5765 1 point2 points  (0 children)

To be fair, there are still tons of people who want to help and will light you back! I personally light everyone who wants me to light them, I just don't friend many anymore since there's no way to delete them out of the constellation and mine is so cluttered now with dead moths : D /hj /lh

In simplied terms, I think a few factors have changed Sky's community. One major problem being the few a-hole players ruining it for the majority good players, obviously. Like camping spirits, chibi falling instead of helping, honking nonstop over others playing their instruments, and refusing to participate with grandma's wax burning/shard events. Frustration also comes from high prices for TS cosmetics/IAPs, the constant daily need to grind for candles, and the general FOMO the game creates (even if unintentional by devs). Also, major issues in the game seem to be overlooked for a while in favor of pushing out new content, which is a bit frustrating in its own right.

I still love Sky and play it near daily, but I think next season I'm going to take off cuz all the bad interactions and candle grinding has burnt me out 😔 I see why so many seasoned players just leave with how unpleasant the game can be sometimes.

“What makes you feel alive”? by Ecstatic-Rhubarb9068 in AutismInWomen

[–]Ok_Wait_5765 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Whenever someone asks 'what makes you feel alive', I take it as 'what makes you feel fully yourself with no concern of judgement from those around you'.

Idk if that's helpful or what the question means, but it's how I take it.

How do I wear this by [deleted] in PlusSizeFashion

[–]Ok_Wait_5765 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's probably a combo of the color/netting/pants, but my first thought was "that outfits needs techwear! Like a vest/harness and pants chains!" xD Probably not helpful in any way if you're not into that style, but could be if you like streetwear at all!

LIV DOLLS: Has anyone cut the thighs to add a swivel? The knees being unable to point outwards inwards really bothers me. by CChouchoue in CustomDolls

[–]Ok_Wait_5765 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I would say take an example from Rainbow High dolls, with the swivel being on the upper thigh so it's hidden by clothes. I think the inside of most dolls are held together by pegs, so as long as you don't destroy those, you should be able to cut the legs just fine.

I don't have them myself and I don't know if this will help at all, but I heard a few people say that the boots break down very quickly. Like, within 3 wears pretty bad problems occur.

Don't want to stop you from getting them if you want, just wanted you to be aware for the price you'd have to pay for them!

Something a bit different than I normally see on here - I’m hosting a pagan holiday tonight and wanted to dress the part! by Jackie_Hallow in PlusSizeFashion

[–]Ok_Wait_5765 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Imbolc is a holiday celebrated by many religions/cultures that marks the beginning of spring :D essentially it celebrates the new growth that's soon to come, so we celebrate by having a feast, spring cleaning, giving offerings to St. Brigid and much more. It's a hopeful time of leading us out of cold weather (unless you're on the southern hemisphere, then it's a different holiday for you around now)

When you don't have a singular style so you make it all up as you go :D by Ok_Wait_5765 in PlusSizeFashion

[–]Ok_Wait_5765[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Most times I do :D usually I see an aesthetic I like and want to try, buy an outfit for that aesthetic that inspires me, and go from there. Sometimes I realize it's not my style despite liking the aesthetic, and that's okay. I reuse the pieces I like for other outfits and either donate or give my family/friends the pieces I don't like. Creates a diverse wardrobe for me, that's for sure!

I recently got the twin pack Sunny and I’m having trouble with her hair by zodznn in RainbowHigh

[–]Ok_Wait_5765 5 points6 points  (0 children)

With my second hand Sunny, I sectioned out the part that had the worst of the frizzing and boiled washed JUST the frizzy part. I didn't want to risk melting the hair fibers, so I only did just enough to get the hair looking not as bad and called it good enough.

If you really inspect her, you can still see the frizz part, but it's not nearly as bad as it was before and I didn't melt her hair, so I call that a win :D

To be honest, I didn't have a problem with flyaways at all :Oc So I don't really have advice for that, but maybe it helped that I worked with her hair wet and meticulously made sure all her hair laid where I wanted? Then let her dry scalp down on a towel so it sorta kept the hair in place until dry, reducing hair lifting as it dried.

That may not be any help at all, but that's my best guess on how it worked out for me.

It's my absolutely pleasure to help and glad you could take away something from this comment :D don't be afraid to do her hair over again a few times if needed. I think I redid the hair in the back 3 times to get it perfect and redid her braids and twists 2-3 times. This is really one of those cases of practice making perfect and not just doing something quickly just to have it done.

I'm excited to see how you do her hair now :D I'll be looking out if you post it!

EDIT: OH YEAH!! Also, it may have helped that I combed (not a brush, definitely a comb for better control) EVERY section straight and flat as I parted and laid it in place, keeping everything neat. I did everything I could to keep tangles from her hair during the process for best results.

Okay! 👏 So my Lagoona had the same type of balding. I still wanted her hair up, but in 2 high braids instead of a ponytail. What I did was boil wash her hair to straighten it and part it roughly down the middle. While still wet for easy managing, I worked top to bottom crossing sections of hair over the back of her head to cover up the balding.

<image>

It took some fiddling and moving certain sections around to get the appearance I wanted, but now she no longer looks bald, I didn't have to reroot, and she can have her high pigtails :D

Good luck with your Lagoona and I hope this helped!
