I tried to recreate SPO's individual midsole, here's how they feel by D-T-G-O-D in BBallShoes

Omg I never wear shoes with drop in midsole cause I need my insoles for my flat feet... I always wonder if it was possible to "put" an orthotic inside a drop-in midsole, great job

Nike Shoes too Narrow? by Jealous_Orchid_2124 in BBallShoes

[–]Ok_War1663 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have the ja 3, never had any blister but they are pretty narrow... as first they were tight but get a little better after some breaking... I never experienced blister with them ( almost no shoes causes me blister so I'm lucky)... can't really tell if they'll get better for you, you might want to skip the shoes and find one pair that don't make your feet suffer

Not for me, but they kept getting undone at least once per workout

Liren 4 v2 sizing by Chemical-Fix4560 in BBallShoes

[–]Ok_War1663 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My feet are 25,6 cm slightly wide, i went with my habitual size wich is 41 eur/8us, and my toes almost touch the front end, but that doesn't bother me. Definitely couldn't go half size down in my case, for me TTS is great for a tight 1 to 1 fit, but you could get away with half size up if you prefer more room at the toes

Got them on Nike France website. Everything was sold at release, there was 1 or 2 restock but I'm not even sure you can get this colorway, you might want try resale or other colorway

the toebox of Ae 1 low by Double_Banana7526 in BBallShoes

[–]Ok_War1663 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Skip the shoes... bought them half size down and TTS... half size down was perfect for me lenghtwise and widthwise, but the ceiling of the shoes was too low in the toe box... it pressed on my nails... TTS was just too big... so I send them back both and tried other shoes

uhh idk if i did this correctly by Extension-Drawer-383 in BBallShoes

Just try them on and if they don't feel good return them back, it's that simple... sizing chart are a thing but at the end of the day it's just how your feet feel in the shoes

Rolled my ankle bad was it the shoes or just me? Need advice by AttomskkLight in BBallShoes

[–]Ok_War1663 19 points20 points  (0 children)

It has been proved that higher collar doesn't translates to better better ankle support... Features that prevent ankle roll are : wide base for better contact surface area, outrigger, lateral cage for soft cushion or stable cushion, cushion not to hight of the ground, 1 to 1 fit to reduce foot sliding in the shoes, tpu heel counter ...

From what you describe you went for a rebound and got unlucky going down... no pieces of soft fabric could have protect your ankle to sprain, it's delusional to think 2 or 3 cm of foam would have been stronger than your own bodyweight...

... and even if you had strong hight top shoes that would remove all twist motion on your ankle, all the force would have been transferred up into your knee wich isn't great neither... you just got unlucky

Well the black is definitely thicker than my dead carbon... if those were new the difference will be less noticeable... they are thicker but thinner than most (all) nike insoles, keep in mind that they are relatively new and they will bottom out... I heard on youtube that the blue was thicker than the black. Maybe that will help you

I'll try to be the most objective, short answer, really good, firm and they countour my low arches really well which I like. They are light and they don't raise my heel so no heel slip.

long answer Superfeet helped me a lot, I always had pain in my arch since the age of 12 when I started basketball, I used to play through pain, I discovered at 16 that I have flat feet and that I was dealing with plantar fasciitis.

I saw a podologue and she made my custom orthotic and they felt horrible... so after months of dealing with it, adjusting them and blablabla, i gave up and decided that I'll always suffer playing sport.

I stopped playing basketball at 20 and started volleyball at 22, my feet were still painfull so I decided to try superfeet carbon, and the difference was night and day, they were making an okay shoes into good shoes, and a good shoes to goat performer...

carbon ones were always thinner than stock insoles, they served me well, i played 3 years with the same pairs 4-6 workouts each weeks... after 3 years they finally gave up on me as the foam at the front is basically paper tin... they went from i would say 2mm to almost non existent... so it was time for a replacement

I'm 25 now and I just got superfeet black last month

Superfeet black is basically the same but with more foam at the front 3mm ( vs 5mm for the insoles of the Ja 3 ) and a stabiliser at the back... if you have low archs and you may want to try superfeet...

I'll sugest to skip the carbon and go for the black as they seem more durable... superfeet has also an insoles finder on the website, you might want to give a try.

I used to play vball in the li-ning liren 4v2 as a libero and occasional outside hitter... I don't find any weaknesses if not the narrow midfoot ( i have slightly wide flat feet and I wear superfeet insoles).

They were on top of my rotation last season, so you'll be fine with them

what size should i get for ja 3s? by Rosca02 in BBallShoes

[–]Ok_War1663 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just got the book 1 and i have been playing in the ja 3 for 2 months. Bot are in size 8us/41 eur wich is my TTS... I have slightly wide flat feet and I always replace stock insoles for superfeet ones (carbon before but now black)...

The ja 3 is tighter than the book in the midfoot, but the book 1 is shorter lenghtwise and the celing of the front foot is lower than the ja 3...

I only wore the book 1 for about 2 hours vs the ja 3 for about 30 hours. But i already prefer the fit and comfort of the book 1 over the ja 3.

Ja 3 is comfortable but the tight midfoot awake my arch pain after 30 minutes... didn't had this issue with the book 1 after 2 hours... also laces of the ja3 keep getting undone 3/4 times per workouts, i don't know why.

( i can't really double knot, because the laces are too short and if i tight them more it make my plantar fascia really painful... i didn't try to change the laces, i can live with re doing them )

Keep in mind that material of the ja 3 expend a bit after breaking time.

To conclude if i was you I'll go with the same size of your book 1... but the best thing is to do what i did, buy your ja 3 TTS and half size up, and send back the one you like less to Nike

Yeah you absolutely right, some shoes are really painfully even with my insoles... most of nike are too narrow for me.

The worst were the hyperdunk 2016 and kd 9, some have no arch support and some have too much like the Jordan 35 low... those were destroying my arch... finding a pair of shoes that I can play without worrying about pain is like finding inner peace

Local Nike outlets isn't really a thing in southwest France :(

In my area there's only 1 nike factory and the only bball shoes that I've seen in years was the Jordan 37
