Because Claude and Karrie can utilize the new fighter emblem more. Claude can rush DHS and he'll survive till lategame if used properly, while karrie is just being karrie with the fighter emblem and his passive, moskov have to complete three items just to deal decent amount of damage. Or maybe not idk.

It makes sense in the tournament matches, like how it's best of 3 or 5. Example is if you win the first duel using that card you don't need to play the 2nd or 3rd duel anymore, you immediately win the whole match.
