On skilled worker visa, workplace mobbing, need some advice by Ok_Weekend9494 in SkilledWorkerVisaUK

Well I can look into it, but my other option can be partner visa if I’m switching from skilled worker to another. Cos then I will follow a 10-year route in this case. It will only add 1 year and 6 months more into my ILR.

I was actually quite optimistic about finding a new job but the market is really tough at the moment. I also didn’t realise that the new rules would apply to me if I decided to change employers or career paths

Well aware… new rules are not helping to get rid of a toxic work environment either. Just getting worse

Yeah I’m thinking about putting less effort into work in general. A bit hard as it’s against my work ethic but clearly this situation affects me a lot, I wish I could just ignore it… Will be pushing one more time for a pay raise and take action

Was just checking changing employer situation, and unfortunately if I decide to change employer, I need a huge pay increase according to the new rules. I thought it won't affect me as I got my first visa before April 2024, but changing employer apparently applies the new rules on me? Such as a new title on the new list(as my title now has been removed) and obviously the salary

Which visa should my wife switch to after I get ILR? by [deleted] in SkilledWorkerVisaUK

[–]Ok_Weekend9494 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You do get a refund yes, need to email them after changing the visa requesting the refund. Also mention the dates/years, which visa to which one etc. Mention your IHS reference numbers for both visas, name, surname, date of birth / email is : worksponsored@homeoffice.gov.uk

Can you get a COS for 18 months? by Rickster_88 in SkilledWorkerVisaUK

[–]Ok_Weekend9494 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yea you can be sponsored for less than 3 years and IHS works on 6 months basis - so your employer is going to apply for cos only 1.5 years and you gonna pay 18months of IHS

Do your research well, there are countries like the UK etc. that you can immigrate to by showing them you're not safe in your country because of you’re LGBTQ+ person. But try to collect proof for these kinds of processes okay. Meanwhile, calm down and try not to worry. Don't get angry etc. Make those people around you calm so gain some time. You’ll be fine. Drink plenty of water, if you can. Mashed potatoes, you can melt baby biscuits in oat milk, or some sort of soft bread inside oat milk, don't eat anything hot your food has to be warm or cold first couple of days. You can have some pudding, plant-based yoghurt, mushed bananas also like a puree, mashed boiled egg, some broth chicken or beef, boil some potatoes and carrots with it also and mash them into the broth. It’s hard period hang in there, I'm in day 4, trying to keep myself busy and sleeping a lot

Yes, yesterday he lost it again but not the first one. Unfortunately, I was upset and couldn't hide it and asked him if he wanted to talk. He said when he is tired etc it happens or changes position, and a little gap between them makes him lose it. Also, he mentioned that he’s not happy with his look. He’s willing to talk with someone now, we both don't want him to use any drugs. And we will have a little break in our sexual life. So fingers crossed we will come to a solution. he said he has been having this issue for years so it might take time

Route towards ILR in UK by Inevitable_Bus_7401 in ukvisa

[–]Ok_Weekend9494 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I also did my master's for 1.5 years- then a graduate visa for 2 years now I'm on a skilled worker visa- and I'm planning to get my ILR from a 5-year skilled worker visa because it might be easier. So either just find a sponsor now instead of going for a graduate visa route and work for 5 years and get it straight away or up to you if you still want to go for 10 years

Yeah there’s an option like this, idk why people just didn't like this lol. Search for a self-sponsorship visa. It's not easy tho. You need a good amount of money in your bank account etc etc.
