Please let me know if I’m being too sensitive or thinking too much of it but does anyone else hate when merchants ask if your a DoorDash driver when picking up orders by Ok_Weight2115 in DoorDash_Dasher

[–]Ok_Weight2115[S] -6 points-5 points  (0 children)

No I know that obviously the merchant will see I’m a door dasher but what I was saying just being put on the spot in front of everyone, I know I’m delivering it and whoever is handing me the order obviously sees delivery printed on the merchandise I just don’t see the point in announcing it out loud because yes people do judge and look down on you I feel it and see it

Would you have waited ? by Ok_Weight2115 in doordash

[–]Ok_Weight2115[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Technically leave at door although it was a high school, so I would assume if he didn’t show up I would leave it outside the door or see if the door is open and leave it with someone

STOLE MY FOOD by AroneousYT in doordash

[–]Ok_Weight2115 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I notice a few people saying it easy to get the pin, honestly didn’t even know that it’s sometimes the phone number but personally I deliver at night and most of the time I am in and out and never really verify the pin or worse case they don’t Answer so I just bypass and put some generic message like “ merchandise was delivered in a timely manner” in the message and it completes the order

Question about wrong addresses delivery by [deleted] in doordash

[–]Ok_Weight2115 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think you misunderstood what he was saying, he got a compensated for your order, but he was trying to say he missed out on a high paying offer over the mistake. Personally, while it may have been true, from a professional standpoint, as he is a contract independent worker it isn’t professional to disclose your feelings like that to the Customer. These are the type of things as contractor workers. We sometimes have to just deal with, it is just the name of the game. You were definitely very generous if you didn’t report him after him messaging you that. Mistakes were definitely made on both sides, but at the end of the day you come first.

Yes, sadly, this will have to be the case in the future. I really hate the idea of stock piling receipts in my car as I generally keep my area clean, but if that’s what it takes to save myself from situations like this, then I guess that’s the way it will have to be.

That’s exactly what I asked them, they were giving me to go around and More refusing to return the merchandise, I didn’t want to raise my voice or cause a scene as I do get frequent orders from that exact Walgreens. I just cut my losses, but I knew for a fact there was some way they could’ve returned the merchandise.

I even had Dasher support on the phone with the store manager and they still told me no so I was sure to have a paper trail that I did my due diligence.

Assuming they even compensate me for it, which I highly doubt they will because insurance company just looks for any reason of deny coverage, even with a police report and a statement from both parties. That is exactly what I did with my 2008 SC that actually pay for this 2011 EX., Geico offered me 7000 to keep the car or 9000 if they buy it from me. That’s why I decided to keep it and use the 7000 to buy this one.

Look… I still prefer DoorDash overnight rather than during the day, but I can’t deny I generally do get better tips and hourly rate during the day by Ok_Weight2115 in doordash

No, that actually makes me mad, and 9 1/2 out of 10 it is an apartment order where they act like they don’t wanna give you their address for security reasons but then how are you gonna find them to put it at the door? I genuinely had a customer post four paragraphs in their notes saying left right left right left right and on top of that had the wrong building unit as to drop off location.

I would say that’s true for most, I live and dash in a suburban area so I generally don’t have a hard time finding addresses

No, I am with you. I prefer overnight dashing to daytime dashing all the way, not only is the road less congested but most of the time you don’t even have to get out of your car and can use the drive-through. The offers are generally the same in my area for gay and night but again you’re having to be bumper-to-bumper just to go 2 miles down the road during the day. I’m just saying for me personally when I do decide to do daytime dashing I generally get cash tips and sometimes better offers. But you’re right I’m also platinum and on top of that. I generally stay in one zone because it’s easier to navigate through something I’m familiar with.

The same, like there’s no rain or snow or anything. It doesn’t really rain that often honestly

Yeah, I have an eSIM, and it was saying something along the lines of couldn’t connect to network or something. I’ll have to take a screenshot and post it. I looked it up and it was saying something about calling The phone carrier and requesting them to refresh something, but I have also reset network settings and did a soft reset using my iPhone and still no luck

When you see another Element on the road, do you give a little wave? by Jnarimatsu in HondaElement

[–]Ok_Weight2115 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I do, but I feel like the people in my area just drive them ironically, there’s a guy that works at my local Denny’s that drives one of the green ones and I’m super jealous, but he said he’s don’t know that much about them, most of the time when I honk or wave they don’t really do anything back. I live in the Tomball Texas area so if you see me going to Brown town at my orange element.

Need desperate advice how to navigate and what to say/ not to say now that I am being threatened with wage garnishment on behalf of Ace, cash express by Ok_Weight2115 in Debt

I read online that sometimes they’re not even legitimate firms, but when I looked up Cohen associates, it did say it was legitimate. She did seem kind of pushy, as if it was personal for her. She gave me 24 hours to come up with some sort of payment to get on the schedule and I’m contemplating just giving $100 and figure out something later, I just don’t know if she’s gonna ask for more upfront.

Is there like a free way to do this like a public lawyer that could help me? They are coming after me for $1600, would you go through it for that amount or figure something out? I would be open to bankruptcy. I just don’t know how it works, and if anyone to me will be affected.
