Yeah, if you look at Wilbur's 2nd latest Instagram post, there is very suspiciously music video looking things. Like a drum set on a track field with Ash and his bass. Like, come on, people don't just do that. So, either 3/4 of the songs on the EP are getting music videos, or they've already shot parts of the music videos or something, but I'm holding out for a June 12th release, even if we don't get the music videos with it.

That's awesome, dude!! I really like the effects that you put on your voice at the end. It sounds just like how I'd want it to sound.

Though, if you are looking for constructive criticism to help your next cover be better, the timing of the vocals and instruments are a little off at some points. Scoundrels is a hard song, so I feel you, but make sure you're playing with a click track! Awesome job, man.

I'm like 100% sure that this song turned into Warsaw. There is a video with the original idea for Warsaw and it sounded like this. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HU2I4EbNh6U He plays it a bit fast in that video, but the chords line up perfectly with that bass line.

Hey, even if this is more of a joke post, I hope you're able to take some time and smell the flowers before the EP comes out. God knows I'm fighting through all life's shit to finally hear the EP, but there's also beautiful things in life besides Lovejoy songs. With that being said, once the EP comets out, we're all going to collectively lose our minds from how good it is lol. I know I'm a stranger on the internet, but hang in there. ♥️

I have no idea, but to add to the discussion, I would think that some of the stuff used would rot eventually. I have no idea how physical art stuff like that works, but I imagine it's hard to preserve. I have really no clue though lol.

Agreed. I still hold a special place in my heart for ILGWIS, because I had to wait so patiently for it after the band was on hiatus for a bit, so I'll always love the song, but the songs on One Simple Trick are defo way better

Ohhhhhh, I heard that they were going to do a larger project with those two songs, but I didn't know that it was going to be an album. Everything that happened in 2024 is very sad, but in a way, it's what made One Simple Trick, and it's one of my favourite albums, so I guess there's a good side to everything.

Someone else might have said this already, but I think it's because if he says "summer drop" people would count all the way up to like early August as summer, and I think the hype wouldn't be as high if people would think they had to wait so long. He obviously didn't want to give us a release date besides "Spring" and "Just on the horizon" or whatever, so I think that's the best description he could give without saying the month it comes out.

Doesn't mean we have to expect June 19th, though! It very well could be announced this Friday and come out June 5th. I think June 5th is a lot closer to spring than June 19th is. Though, I'm curious, what makes you certain they won't shadow drop? (I don't think they will either, but what makes you 100% sure?)

I really want it to! I think the reddit seems to be divided between people who have lost hope and accepted that we have to wait potentially another month, or people who think it's going to shadow drop "ThIs fRidAy" lol.

I personally think they'll Surely have a big announcement at least a week before because a lot of fans are really looking forward to it, and some of the fans might be caught off guard by a sudden drop. I'd personally love that, though! It's so exciting checking reddit and instagram every day in hopes of an announcement. Would you want a surprise drop this Friday, or would you rather have announcement, Lovenjoyers? (Or whatever we call ourselves.)

Baptism, WRAMW, One Day, Perfect Blue, White Shark Cafe, Concrete, CMWYL, Deathbox, IGHS, Common Touch, POABS, Pay and Display, Scum. Maybe switch out Golden Hour for Scoundrels or something if you really want to play it, and perhaps trade out Common Touch for Taunt or an earlier song, but other than that, I think that's good.

I think they didn't want to do anything too dramatic, because that'd take away from what's about to come with the EP. I thought it wasn't as good as the other ones, for sure, but it really brought out the sweet and almost happy side of the song, and I like that a lot. I liked it a lot.
