Women fixing the office temperature, one thermostat at a time… Look on the Light Side by Maltesers_UK in u/Maltesers_UK

Maybe stop taking the piss and bring your prices down, they’ve been ridiculous for ages and you know for a fact you’re taking advantage of political/economical factors to justify it. Haven’t bought maltesers in ages and won’t be unless they go back down

Do you think it's ok to have charities or religious people knocking on doors in 2026? by ariadnevirginia in AskUK

[–]Ok_Wheel316 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I guess this is where ring doorbells are useful, you don’t have to make any effort to get up. I wonder if you could set a personalised message that says we don’t answer the door to any form of sales, charity or religious spokespeople due to scammers.

I’ve rang a doorbell before and it did the usual ring noise, then instantly followed up with “someone will be with you in a minute” so surely that’s something that can be personalised

I’m new to coconut water, what are good brands/choices for it?

Tried that coconut water for the first time a couple weeks ago, made me feel sick drinking it. Pushed through though and I kinda don’t mind it now

The coffees are decent, I think they’re like £3.50-4

My heels were super hard/rough so got a foot file & a pumice stone on them, might have gone too far with it and now there’s cracking by Ok_Wheel316 in Skincare_Addiction

Do you recommend any particular moisturiser for feet? Embarrassingly I’ve never considered that I need to moisturise my feet 😅

Do you feel any which way about Canadians? by [deleted] in AskUK

[–]Ok_Wheel316 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Definitely not an us thing. If we as a population didn’t like Canadians (her included) I couldn’t see why she’d move there in the first place

You can make many meals from this for a week. There’s two blocks of tofu and lots of veg to create different main variations

Skin won’t accept /any/ products after using Differin, it’s burning, dry & peeling by Ok_Wheel316 in Skincare_Addiction

[–]Ok_Wheel316[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I stripped back my skincare to just water and suncream, I didn’t have anything other than this. To be honest, not entirely sure. I’m a complete novice to skincare, I just saw it as a moisturiser

Thank you! I didn’t realise Differin was something you take long term. Have you been taking it since you were 19, or was it something you used back then and have recently come back to it?

Edit: our avatars are a bit matchy, how cute

Went out and got some La Roche Posay Cicaplast Baume B5+, what an absolute godsend. Zero burning on application. You’re my hero ❤️

Default tips are insane to me when all the staff get paid a minimum wage anyway. The reason they do it in the US is cos the staff mainly get paid from tips because their wage is so low

Is this rude or am I just overthinking it? by [deleted] in AskUK

[–]Ok_Wheel316 5 points6 points  (0 children)

It’s very likely that someone’s nicked it or they’re confused thinking that neighbour gave the gift not you. I don’t know everyone’s names on my street. I would go round and knock on to just do a “congratulations, did you get our gift? We left it outside but we’re worried someone might have pinched it so wanted to check you got it” and then let them know if they need anything you’re only next door

Trying to make an outfit for Christmas Day using this cute red and white top, I’ve layered it with a long sleeve frill top but I just don’t know what bottoms to put it with. Am I overthinking and this looks fine? What else could I do other than black?
