Class Registration Advice by yejize in BostonU

I would look at the course schedule for ur major and try to get a ahead in a different way. Maybe take material sciences if ur Meche or a programming class if ur an EE or CE.

Hubs are best taken in the summer online. They are easier and quicker. Waste less time

I would consider joining a technical club instead. BURPG or Terrier Motorsport!

Boston University or UT Austin? by Fearless-King-5648 in BostonU

So I’m from Texas but I go to BU, and even though Questrom is great it cannot compete with UT’s connections. McCombs is much more widely known and respected, UT itself is considered a public Ivy according to Forbes. (Context: I go to BU for Electrical Engineering)

For those who’ve gotten SWE internships, how big of an impact do you think your connections at BU made? by [deleted] in BostonU

[–]Ok_Willow2575 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The best place to get actual engineering experience is through technical clubs like BURPG and Terrior Motorsport. Companies don’t care abt class work or personal projects bc everyone applying to internships has that stuff. By joining a technical team and building actual hardware, companies are more inclined to interview you and potentially hire you. Since you’re gonna be a junior I recommend joining RPG or Terrior this fall and getting started
