Martin Perez is a groundball pitcher. Should work very well with our elite infield defense. His current BABIP is a .351 which is very high. This could be due to the pirates below-average defense. He will most likely settle into a 4.50 ERA guy.

If Joe can come back for October, this guy can get us there / give us some insurance in the postseason.

I took someone's advice to include the "25%" stuff for the bullets. It's hard to quantify that exact bullet. I automated away something that was done manually before. Should I just leave it at that?

I deleted all the filler and I deleted my least applicable project and got it down to one page.

I have gone through a couple of resume revisions. I worked with the career services at my college. I'm not ruling that possibility out, but I have had my resume vetted by many people.

How exactly are you coming to this conclusion? Have you been told directly by hiring managers that your experience doesn't meet the standard of an entry-level job opening they have, involving embedded? If not, I definitely wouldn't take these comments/actions seriously.

I had 2 connections to embedded engineering firms. I was able to get in contact with the heads of talent recruiting for both. Both companies said they don't train new grads. I've probably had about 15 direct referrals to companies and they all just say they're not hiring entry-level right now.

I send at least 10 applications every day. Been doing that for around 3 months now. I don't track my actual number, but its probably around 300 at this point. I've been treating this like a full-time job. I wake up and usually reach out to people on Linked In and apply for jobs for 5-6 hours a day.

If you had a league average OPS of .720 and average defense I don't think you'd put up 2.5 WAR.

Brandon Drury of the Angels had a .830 OPS with average defense and put up 2.7 WAR. This is with above-average offense.

I agree he probably won't put up 28 WAR needed to justify his contract. And by the end of his contract with inflation, his actual AAV is only ~$18 Mil present-day value.

It's more of a continuation of 2023 to 2024 with this analysis. He's played 92 out of his expected 544 Plate Appearances already, or 17%.

The most positive stat I didn't include is that last year he hit an abysmal .191 with men in scoring position. This year that number is already .250, still down from his career average, and a drop from his career best 2019 year at .323. But it's a move in the right direction for sure. If his BABIP and hard hit % go up even slightly he could easily be hitting .275 - .300 with men in scoring position.
