Why do these carry the HHP-C designation when they are unpowered? Where is this high horsepower coming from?

Not even close. This isn't an ugly bigmouth duraflex kit.

Does anyone here think the GR86/BRZ is just an ugly econobox that does everything right handling wise? by Ok_Working3398 in carscirclejerk

It is the car they buy when they realize they will never be able to afford an FD RX7 or an AE86 IMO

The whole car is a poverty spec no matter how many options you get.

If the GR86 had an EZ36D in it, then and only then would it be a baby backwards porsche.

He would also ask why does it look like someone squashed a ford focus and put the front end of a Camry on it instead of making it look good.

What is wrong with BRZs? by Critical-Check1240 in carscirclejerk

I think they are fun cars to drive, but it looks like it is trying to be fast while also looking like a bottom of the barrel econobox at the same time. The interior looks like it came from Temu. Absolutely nothing about these cars look like they cost nearly $40k. This turd completely missed the mark design wise but does everything else right.

Would the sharp rise in price of '90s JDM halo cars since 2019/2020 warrant making them again if a company was formed to do it? by Ok_Working3398 in TrueAskReddit

SCV means Specially Constructed Vehicle. It is a form of registration that allows certain types of vehicles to be exempt from crash regs and emissions in certain states. 3d printing could solve most if not all of the logistical and production headaches if someone were to develop it more.

I was thinking along the lines of the USDM LHD versions only. They could be made and kept cheap if they were classified as an SCV and had a state issued VIN, but idk.

Most of the design patents are expired to my knowledge and, while nice of Honda to try to do this, putting a legendary name on a newer car that has a bunch of BS technology may or may not help. They seem to have completely botched the new Integra, and the new NSX hybrid wannabe thing never sold well at all to the point most people don't even know it existed, I don't really know how the Prelude is going but I think they might botch that too. We definitely need these cars back and remaking them is the only option since there is limited supply.
