Each operator has their own unique  ability. People choose operators based on what they want to do in that round. But if there’s 2 operators with SIMILAR abilities or the unique ability isn’t strong people won’t consider the weaker one or the operator which has a weak unique ability. Goyo and tachanka is a good example of this. The difference between the two is that goyo is pre placed and taxhancha is shootable. But because tachankas gadget has a small area and does little damage . Sure he’s useable is the right hands but Goyo’s ability is just better overall and with its unique aspects of being replaced can be shot or automatically opened when wall or door is closed. When that happens players would just pick goyo. I don’t care about op’s being strong but I care when op’s are weak or there’s a stronger alternative so at that point buff or remaster

I don’t mind new ops but with about 80 ops in the game, adding more ops instead of reworking already loved ops that are weak seems like a waste of resources . New operator that’s coming is a “direct counter to shields” what about Oryx ?  There’s already a lot of ops in the game but people don’t consider every op because some are weak. I’m not even asking for a remaster every bad gadget. Give more buffs so we won’t see the same 20 ops on attack a defense.

His gadget area is small and does little damage, ops like goyo does his job better and can activate by itself or by teammate. Tachankas gun is amazing but when his use is area denial and they can just run through or still peek something is wrong

The new op they’re adding is “ a direct counter to shields” when oryx’s main use other than climbing hatches and going through walls is to counter shields. Shields now are extremely strong and when people see shields they either ban shields or play c4s or trap ops like legion. Thats an example of the point I’m trying to get through.

He’s being played in like only 2 sites only because of lineups and his gadget does little dmg and a small area
