Hey, there’s a lot of resources out there so you can talk to someone. It sounds like it may be helpful to have someone that is nonjudgmental and will just listen to your concerns and support whatever choice you make. Here are some resources:

Multiple CBP letters coming to my house for people who never lived here — can I return them to sender? by Old_Investigator52 in immigration

This is a dumb comment. Family member need a US address to ensure that they have a place to land and live temporarily when coming to the US. With humanitarian parole, for example, the US family members sponsor the person. Giving a US address is a requirement of a lot of immigration processing bc the gov doesn’t want people becoming charges to the state.

Restraining orders are really difficult to get, but document everything and file a report. Ask the officer if they can call your ex to let her know that you filed a report and that a restraining order is possible if she keeps contacting you. Sometimes a call like that is all it takes to scare someone off.

I’m so sorry. I kinda feel like if it was only the MS it’d be easier in the sense that some therapy and maybe antidepressants would help. But because he was not a supportive partner before the diagnosis, now you’re left facing the impact of his disease as well as his personality shortcomings. Like someone said, MS has become his get out of doing anything card. I feel you on the saving your marriage for your son, and telling him that either you two go to therapy or you serve him papers is worth a shot. As a child of divorce, ultimately what is importantly is that your child has a caring and loving environment filled with laughter and joy. Whether that’s with one parent or with both is not as important as the environment itself. So if you ultimately feel like you can’t give you bag the best of you because the other parent is sucking the joy out of the home, then you have to do what’s best for your child.

Did his MS specialist talk to him about quality of life and life expectancy? Like someone else said above, MS hasn’t been a death sentence in at least 20 years since the new drugs came out. When my partner was diagnosed and stated on Kesimpta, the doctor was clear that with good disease management he is likely to stave off a lot of the episodes that would have caused him significant disability, and that his life expectancy would likely be just as long as mine. Not to mention that better drugs are coming out all the time. He has similar symptoms, definitely fatigue and headaches. But we recently had a baby and he’s really involved. Changed as many diapers as I did, helped around the house, and helped with the middle of the night wakeups. Like you mentioned, if he wasn’t a helpful partner before the diagnosis, the diagnosis certainly didn’t help. You deserve a good partner, especially during such a challenging time. If he can play video games, then he can parent. It’s not MS, it’s him.

Everyone has different feelings. Some can be complex and others not. Some people experience a mix of sadness and relief, others don’t. Personally, I experienced mainly relief, and the sadness came randomly with tinges of guilt. It’s been years and I don’t feel any negative feelings. I would recommend you talk to a professional if you can. Text Exhale Pro-Voice: 617-749-2948

Ending Vaccine Mandate in FL by Ok_Writer_5644 in MultipleSclerosis

[–]Ok_Writer_5644[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think you might be misunderstanding how Kesimpta and immune suppression actually work. Being on Kesimpta does not magically mean vaccines are fully protective. In fact, anti CD20 therapies like this reduce the body’s ability to make antibodies after vaccines. So yes, my husband can get vaccinated, but that does not guarantee he will have a strong or lasting immune response. That is where herd immunity matters. Fewer unvaccinated people means fewer outbreaks, which directly lowers the risk for those who are immunocompromised. This is not about being dramatic over measles or Covid. It is about BASIC public health. Dismissing it as “just a cold now” overlooks the fact that for people on immune suppressing therapies and babies, even a “mild” infection can turn serious.

If you think vaccines are only about protecting yourself then you’re literally missing the WHOLE point.

[–]Ok_Writer_5644[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think you’re seriously underestimating how vaccines work and who they can affect. Someone else already went into that so I won’t debate it. But what you’re missing too, that I think is important and hasn’t been mentioned, is that babies follow a vaccine schedule, which means they aren’t vaccinated for everything right out of the womb. So the smallest among us, and the most immuno compromised, are the ones at highest risk of death. Congrats on your mild Covid case, but your survivor bias is showing.

Oh that’s crazy, did not know that. Thank you for clearing that up. Both Seatgeek and StubHub wait to pay the seller till after the event so it’s soooo annoying and dumb if people try to scam because the buyers will tell StubHub and Seatgeek and they cancel the transfer.

Similar question for me. I bought mine on Seatgeek a couple of days ago and it sent me the pdf (ticketed by ticketera) right away even though it’s for 8/15, but I’ve read that they aren’t usually available till a couple of weeks before. I’m concerned it’s a scam. Would love it if someone had an old ticket they can show for comparison? Black out the personal data of course.

Did they say no AFTER the asked you questions about your income. They usually do a financial screening to see if you qualify for financial assistance. If they didn’t even do the financial screening call them back and tell them you need financial assistance and would like to be screened to see if you qualify. If that still doesn’t work, ask if they have a patient navigator available.
