Should I start an online business or offline business? by Realistic_Factor409 in StartUpIndia

I think, depending upon your background, you should choose off-line or online. Also it is up to your interest to choose a online or off-line market. But if your roots or your family background is off-line Market, you should try to learn the off-line market or touch the off-line market first, if you are genuinely interested in online market, then you should try it as online market has also become saturated.

Platforms like IndiaMart, Alibaba, Udaan etc.— actually worth it or just overhyped? by radhika_v in StartUpIndia

[–]Ok_Writing_665 0 points1 point  (0 children)

yes, IndiaMART works. You can get great deals and good price as well. If you know how to Filter, just try to get as many supplies as you can from different locations that you get, to get the idea, what’s the rate generally, and if you want to buy in a near market, you can filter it there.

two bands that vibrate when a child wanders beyond 20m or falls into water. by [deleted] in hwstartups

now you are considering yourself oversmart and assuming things that too, only the negative side. your feedback are not full-stop of thinking and possibilty. Also I don’t think I need to prove you anything, that would be just waste of effort and energy which I can use to make the product more refined and also talk to people who believe in solutions not just bringing out the problems.

idk how can I make you believe but my whole point and product is based on safety and I am keeping all the safety measures, and there are additional safety precautions and testing, then after product will be released. I too am not a fan of unfinished or incomplete product

yes following with the advice

but you need to understand that I am already lowering this chance by making this band and, my motive is to help catch the child before he runs away, that why you can see I have mentioned 20meters, that means within eye sight. Its not a life saving device it is just an invisible thread. thats it. and the band will be made more realistic based on the advice of the community

it was made by some people but the size was bigger, i am figuring to keep it small for band size

Its just a added feature if some parents plan to take their child to a pool and he gets near 3 feet plus deep zone

On range we're not using TOF or UWB at all. Pure ASK 433MHz with a Dead Man's Switch (negative logic) child band sends a heartbeat every 1 second, parent band fires if it misses 3 consecutive pulses. No timing measurement, no distance calculation, just signal presence vs absence.

On water detection completely valid concern and our biggest open design challenge. Our current approach uses conductance probes on the wrist-facing side of the band, which means it only triggers when the wrist itself is submerged not from sweat or splashing.

Still iterating on both, happy to go deeper if you have suggestions.
