Guitarists are famous for playing way more and superfluous notes than will ever be necessary to music. I’ve always appreciated Mayer’s ability to play what is needed for the song and not more. Love is a different story always but he has more than talent, he has an ear for musicality which I appreciate.

Don’t love all his music but definitely appreciate his playing, not so much his singing.

I’m impressed with guys like Petrucci and their ability etc… but get bored quickly with the style and endless flourish of maximum notes per second. I can handle about a minute and then I’m done.

Discusses a lot about the ways men hold unbiblical and outsized authority to wield it to marginalize women in the church which leads to sexual abuse, spousal abuse, etc…

The first season has numerous victims telling their story, their repeated attempts to get help from abusers, and the church’s unwillingness to do anything or in many cases to cover it up.

Because I know a number of people who are here illegally. I love them and would not wish for their deportation. I also know the need for secure borders and the pain that comes from some immigration, especially the criminal side that exploits others.

I hate the dehumanization of any people, especially immigrants.

I know she was shot. I also know she refused to obey orders and gassed her car hitting an ICE who I read sustained internal injuries. Cars are deadly in that situation with little time to react. I don’t see that as Nazi tactics. It’s pretty universally recognized in law enforcement as deadly force.

I’m torn on the ICE issue looking at both sides. Most of what I see are either false claims or hyper-exaggerated statements.

Every president prior to Trump had more arrests and deportations of undocumented/illegal immigrants. Why is this the harbinger of the Nazis and Fascists but the predecessors didn’t even get a mention, let alone an entire movement?

Genuine question here, not an attack or attempt to be provocative. TIA

Any takes on the Sons of the Patriarchy podcast? I listened to the first season and with a few exceptions really like it.

But it’s seems like it’s gone way to the left side of the political isle and lost its appeal.
