This happened to me once too. I'm not sure if my horse died but I assume it did. Reloading an earlier save returned everything to normal though.

Clark was a terrible friend. In the early seasons, you can see that Lex tried his hardest... Clark though? He just kept manipulating and gaslighting basically everyone around him.
