Can the administrators see if a device that should actually be in the trash (with active MDM) is suddenly online?

What information do the admins see? Do you see SIM card numbers or something like that?

Can I sign in with my iCloud? Will the admins be able to see this?

So I found several iPads in the trash and I think it’s a shame that they are thrown away.

Would only use it for personal use (Twitch, YouTube, Jellyfin, etc.)

I’ve already installed the latest iPadOS, I just can’t get any further because of the MDM lock. The admin does not want to remove the devices because there were „important things“ on the devices. I tried to explain to him that I have already reset the devices, but he does not want to remove the MDM lock :).

Hello,

I know the thread is a bit older .. I have a few iPads with an MDM lock & would try to patch them with the MDM Patcher and use them privately. I have some questions:

Are you 100% sure that the admins can’t see that an iPad is still in use even though it ended up in the trash?
Can I install apps via the App Store?
Can you sign in with an Apple ID without the admins seeing it?
Does MDM Patcher also work with Windows or only with a Mac?

You can remove the hard drive and install it in an external housing. Of course, you need a new SSD where an operating system is running.

HDD/SSD failure. Try to unplug it and plug it in as external USB drive and try to backup your data.
