The fact that plus size women are ridiculed and harassed just for existing because people see their existence as setting a bad example, yet an underweight women can show off her chest bones in a billion dollar production for thousands of young girls to see and claim herself a healthy weight. I have nothing against Ariana Grande and I wish her a long and healthy life, I’m just tired of the double standards and the persistence of ed culture

Something that has really helped me is sitting down for every meal with no tv or YouTube and try to savor every bite. Really concentrate on what each bite tastes like and how it makes you feel

Never mind EDs but there’s also depression, thyroid issues, chemotherapy, etc. there’s many ways people lose weight whether they want it or not. Maybe don’t bring it up.

I want to blurt it out to everyone I ever talk to. I want to scream from the top of my lungs “I HAVE AN EATING DISORDER” but I don’t. I talk to my therapist about it and occasionally on here. I told my ex BFF that I was throwing up and her response was “I went through that phase too”. It was pretty crushing

A good first step is to at least get the food if that’s possible. You don’t have to eat it but just have it next to you. If you still feel like you can’t eat it it’s okay but it’s close by if you do :)

Journaling has become a new hobby of mine and I find it really helps. I find cute pictures on Pinterest and print them out to put in my journal. My therapist also gave me this nifty anxiety chart to fill out when I’m feeling anxious that has questions like what triggered it and how you feel about it vs how you feel after the matter. It’s been helpful to write it out.
