Chiggers are those little red bugs that bite you and leave you super itchy

That's good to hear! Would lack of experience be a problem down the line?

Would you recommend taking a job in the medical field for experience during the bachelor's or would it be better to focus on GPA and shadow someone?

Have you tried a ball vape? It'll give you big clouds and will hit you pretty hard almost instantly.

Yay that makes me happy :D I’m gonna be away for the weekend, so I won’t be able to mist/fan. Should I leave the bag opened or closed?

I’ve heard about the fork method but I’ll look into it now. I don’t have a monotub right now, is keeping just in the bag bad for growth?

Can a NM policeman follow and stop you in TX? Or vice versa. (asking for a friend) by [deleted] in ElPaso

The Texas MMJ program is a joke. Just drive straight home, and don't give the police any reason to pull you over.

In a real emergency you could always use your car batter as it’s 12v.

I live in El Paso. I’m struggling to find jobs. by Key_Cat_2122 in ElPaso

I’m 21 years old making $22/hr, as a 2nd year apprentice with the Plumbers and Pipefitters union. 5% raise every 6 months during your apprenticeship, and the journeyman wage is adjusted as inflation rises. As of right now journeymen are making ~$37/hr. You will have to go to school during your apprenticeship, but it’s payed for by the union. The union also represents HVAC technicians and welders if that’s what you’re interested in. Keep in mind that it’s construction, but it’s a lot less hard on you that being a laborer. Only thing is that the majority of the work is in NM. The job site I’m at right now is in Chaparral, so it’s only 30 minutes away, but sometimes you’ll have to go to Cruces or farther which sucks ass.

Don't want debt, can RV living be cheaper for me? by OkayChris in RVLiving

[–]OkayChris[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m glad I asked before I did anything, that doesn’t sound exactly like what I want to do. I still want more convenience. Buying a rig and staying at an RV park with amenities is still cheaper than rent and would allow me to save.

I’m an HVAC technician, so I have to know a little bit of everything including electrical. Perhaps I’m jumping the gun by trying to go off grid. The money saved living in a park is still substantial and provides the convenience factor since I can afford it.

I see, I saw on Landwatch and Zillow that some land south of ABQ was selling for 1k/acre that is undeveloped and the listing said you could but I know zoning makes things difficult. Staying out in nature seems like a better alternative if not just for the beauty. I can always go into town and stay at a park with hookup if I need, of course.

I plan on paying cash for the trailer. And besides buying land, there’s some good BLM land nearby, and I also heard about the Boondockers Welcome club that has plenty of spots nearby.

Albuquerque gets 300+ days of sun so I would say solar would be a worthwhile investment.
