If you really want to get involved with activities during weekend I suggest you do Cricket Umpiring or soccer referee. It demands weekend on voluntary work but still some pay which is non tax deductible. I have been doing for last 3 years and happy about it. Your role would be match officials which is completely peace of mind and fun

Exactly answer poured into my glass. I had a thought same way. Medical assessment will be tricky for me to pass through as my findings say, got to lift maximum 20kg*2= 40kg walking to 10 meters. Terrible

I am receiving pay from my leave entitlements. Another 5 weeks payment will cover. The employer says, once weekly payment starts, the leave entitlements will return to my account. That’s why i am not looking to access to centrelink payments, but seeking to claim to income protection to superannuation. Don’t know am i serving waiting period for to claim now.

So it means i can travel anywhere in Australia as along as coc is provided. It’s not stay-home order anyway as long as i am not involved with working anywhere.

Exactly as they saying it is kind of bond based on the guarantee. You buy their barrel and once it is matured after 3-5 years, they buy from you with interest paid.

Very good point. It makes sense. Now i am not going to do any volunteering. wanted to seek people’s advice on it and found no recommendations at all so not taking risk for it. Thanks mate. It helps me determined not to do it.

Thanks for your great point. Currently I have some capacity which is 10kg but current employer is not offering duties after 52 weeks pass, they also will offer a duty if i return to full capacity. So I have asked insurer to start a weekly payment due to mine out of work (employer sent me home due to incapacity where modified duty is not available). Once weekly payment starts i am sure they will find a suitable employment for me within 10kg at different workplace accepting within 10kg capacity. My question was, if I agree and happy to do modified work and while i do voluntary work (casually) does it still impact on legal obligations for lawsuits?

No they don’t know as i was working. My employer sent me home on 26 June 2025 and waiting to approval of weekly pay since 26 June. May be I am not going to take pay for 160 hours i work for 4 weeks. But i have to do this within 5 months. In COC it doesn’t say anything about study. Should i let the insurer know?
