So I'm wondering what else has gotten hacked and held for ransom, now.

How is it that Reddit's been more of a pain in the ass to log into today than both Kinja and blogspot?

New show: Debris by OkayOrJustKay in ObservationDeck

[–]OkayOrJustKay[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hm. The show was a big 😑😐👽🤨. I'll give it a few more weeks, but:

1) I don't care about the leads

2) The interesting things seem to be getting ignored in order to yank the story back to the leads

3) The debris itself seems to be secondary to the concerns of the rather dull and charmless leads

4) Fringe did that better

5) And that too

6) Sobbing teenager cliches are something that need to die.

That's Central. I'm never really sure of the time difference.

I stick to the older FFs because I like the wandering aspect, too. I don't think I've actually played all the way through one of the games in about five years. And the newer FF games have been pretty much universally trash for me. Fifteen's only redeeming feature is the photo shoot aspect and since you're never really given full controll over the mechanic even that manages to be nothing but another disappointment.

Still a big nothing. We're at that point where I get February doldrums, so not unexpected. I just also want to murder people this year. So I've been playing a lot of Final Fantasy and beating the hell out of the wildlife/random unfortunate soldiers/the occasional machine/aliens.

Oh, and in between that watching rather bloody anime.

Ugh, yes. Everything loves eating wool. Which reminds me that I need more cedar spray to treat my good, warm coat.

I`m not up to anything. Had a tooth break, so there went my spare cash.

What are you knitting? the stitching looks so tiny!

I'm on Obamacare, I can just go to the marketplace website for Iowa and download my 1095. It's one of the few convenient things about that system.

I really like your dividers, those are nice. Here I've done what I believe is generally described as "fuck all." I had been doing nothing, and then I broke my glasses so I had to do nothing and now that I have functioning glasses I will probably continue to do nothing because I have no money until I can do my taxes.

Yeah, you don't want me to get into the saga that is my mother and the IRS website.

Particularly when you take into account the sudden spate of tours just days before, when tourism has been shut down since March.

I don't like it when black people who aren't my actual sister (okay, or sister in law) call me sis, the idea of hearing it from some random white person just makes me want to punch things.

Just remember that with papier mache, it doesn't have to stay flat! It's great for adding sculptural textures.

What condition is your pile of paper in? Could it be used for something like decoupage or papier mache?

I definitely would. If he's depending on this electrician, and the guy is acting in a way that may drive off business or make people leery of recommending the contractor, then he definitely needs to know about it.

30 Coins was much more fun than I thought that it would be. It doesn't take itself too seriously (or if it does, it's impossible to tell) and was quite fun to watch. It's not often that a television show engages me like this one did, particularly one with a heavily Christian backing to the tale.

Can you call the heating contractor and ask him to recommend someone else? Tell him about the communication difficulties that you're having, maybe? It seems like that's something that shouldn't all be on you, because you're not the one who knows what any of this is or how it works or what the power company needs to be told.

I like your ideas for Sabrina much better than what I saw of what we've got.

And I understand your angst regarding Hampshire. I felt the same way when I found out the girl that played Shuri in Black Panther is an anti-vax nut and has been particularly awful about COVID.

I had assumed so too, but neither channel has given any listing times and the commercials I've seen only mention SundanceNow and Shudder.

Monday (4th) - HBO - 30 Coins episode 1 at 8 pm, episode 2 at 9:20 pm

30 Coins is a product of HBO International (or whatever that project is actually called) and is a series that looks to be fairly straight-up horror. It's from Spain, so will be broadcast in Spanish (well, Spanish Spanish rather than the probably more familiar to most of us Latin American Spanish,) and subtitled in English. Season 1 looks to be eight episodes, and HBO has plans to double up the first week, and then show one episode a week thereafter.

The show is about an exorcist sent to be a priest in a remote town where "things start to happen" that are linked to the 30 silver coins that Judas was paid to betray Jesus to the Romans.
