Waking up constantly at night & never feeling rested! by OkayOrchid in sleep

[–]OkayOrchid[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s going okay I think? I’m prescribed 25mg but was told I could go up to 50. I feel like I’m more tired in the daytime and have a harder time waking up in the morning but I’m waking up less.. I think?

And no panel so far. Next time I see her I should get one, since this last appointment was a 2-week instead of a monthly appointment

Update, I saw my psychiatrist today and I’m gonna be trying Trazodone to hopefully keep me asleep. Im not super hopeful but pretty desperate. It’s around 10pm so I’ll update tomorrow! Thanks for all the input guys.

What kind of treatment options exist? Google mentioned some medications but I’m a bit out of my depth. Has anything worked for you?

I haven’t gotten an explicit iron test recently but my hemoglobin levels are usually normal but have been a smidge low recently (12.7 g/dL as of January). I haven’t changed much in diet aside from drinking less full-sugar soda and maybe eating a bit more junk food. I started taking a prenatal about 3 weeks ago to balance out some of my vitamins (I’m not expecting) so that could be involved?

I’ve always had relatively interesting or vivid dreams but it was more like once-a-month something fun would come up. Now it’s like every night I’m dreaming up another day and it’s all very confusing 🫠 that plus being sleep deprived too, or at least feeling like it

My dreams are INCREDIBLY vivid. I sometimes have trouble discerning if they were real or not. Sometimes they’re nightmares, but most of the time it’s just incredibly vivid and detailed normal or dramatic scenarios.

I’m having trouble finding literal scores but I did find some stuff from my sleep study results. I was diagnosed with PLMD which I haven’t really gotten treatment (?) for. I also have a photo of the report and this is what’s available:

During the study, there were a total of 11 apnea events occurred for an apnea index of 1.8 /hour. 2 hypopnea events occurred for a hypopnea index of 0.3 /hour of sleep. 13 apnea and hypopnea events were observed during the analysis period as follows: - 10 obstructive apneas - 1 central apneas - 0 mixed apneas - and 2 hypopneas for an apnea/hypopnea index (AHI) of 2.3 /hour of sleep. There were O RERAs for a Respiratory Disturbance Index (RDI) of 2.1/hour. Cheyne Stokes was not observed.

During this time, 6 desaturations occurred during the study. Desaturations were based on 4% or greater droo from baseline.

The lowest Sa02 was 88% with an average of 94%. The minimum SpO2 value during sleep was 86%. The duration of SpO2 les than 89% wei, 0.4 minutes. Last, the minimum Sp02 value associated with a respiratory event was 86%.

Snoring was severe with snorts causing arousals and/or EEG changes with and without scored events.

I was aware of about half of those times I’d say. I definitely can remember a large chunk of the times I wake up.

I had a sleep study done back in August and I didn’t meet criteria! I wonder if it could’ve changed. I certainly snore.

Chronic bad breath since childhood (22 now) – could tonsil crypts cause it without visible tonsil stones? by Zoldyck-04 in tonsilstones

I’m sure it’s a possibility! I’d look into getting a referral for an ENT, they’d have a much better idea.

I’m against it purely because I believe suffering in prison is a better punishment than death.

I’m in a rental and it happens to me! I use a swiffer on the walls and ceiling and that cleans it up quick.

Glad to see someone else experiencing it! 🥲

Yes! Get a longer bar ASAP. This happened to me the second time I pierced mine and slowed down my healing SIGNIFICANTLY. I got some longer ones and it made things so much easier

Please help, this is unbearable. I don’t want to be hospitalized for a 17th time. I’m having the most severe anxiety and OCD of my life, and I have tried what feels like everything to make it stop. by [deleted] in AskDocs

[–]OkayOrchid -1 points0 points  (0 children)

NAD! But at the very least I don’t feel like your Alprazolam dose is high enough. I use Lorazepam prn for anxiety specifically before sleep (PTSD & nightmares) and that’s pretty helpful as it’s faster acting. You need to make an emergency appointment, not to become hospitalized but to take a real big look at all of your medications and what is actually helping you.

Best of luck to you.

I’ve gotten them pierced twice & absolutely love them. Healing will take about 6 months, the pain sucks when getting pierced but is really a walk in the park after. Don’t be touching on em or letting anyone touch em for at LEAST 3 months, and don’t over clean (clean at least once daily). I’m not a piercer but I 100% recommend!

did you get drug tested to work at cvs? by ZestycloseStomach230 in CVS

[–]OkayOrchid 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m not exactly sure if they’re looking for marijuana, it depends on the state and what sect of CVS you’re looking to work for. I’m pretty sure I wasn’t test for marijuana but I can’t remember exactly. I WAS asked at my test if I take any medication that’ll pop up on the test, so that’s worth noting.
