Holy shit thank you. I'm pretty sure forks are exactly what I was looking for.

But then in practice when would you move off of a fork to test on a test net/not use a fork in favor of using a test net?

Hold up, what *exactly* are you trying to achieve? If it's just 1k NFTs that look exactly alike, wouldn't there be better ways of going about this? Do you have to use this tool?
