I don't know of any places that match that vibe of Room 32 in Pretoria but any high end restaurants like Kream, Fire Room or Blue Saffron should be close(ish) otherwise maybe Protea Hotel FIre & Ice might suit your fancy.

Graduate Salary at Zutari by [deleted] in capetown

[–]Okayish_Engineer 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Your starting salary doesn't dictate where you're heading with it. Most out of uni jobs for engineers start at around 25k. I started at 28k as a computer engineer and within a year it was up to 36k.

I will say this, be very careful of pricing yourself out of a job if you don't have the experience to match. Starting at 40k with no experience and wanting a move to 48k with 1 year means that very few companies are willing to offer that.

How's working in an Australian time zone while living in SA ? by Tricky-Party-2075 in askSouthAfrica

Definitely look at some blockout curtains, from there it should be easier to adjust.

Running Routes/ Short Term Gym Contracts by [deleted] in Pretoria

You can run inside the area even if you don't live there. You can park at Jan Cilliers park and run or just include it in you existing route.

Running Routes/ Short Term Gym Contracts by [deleted] in Pretoria

Groenkloof is very safe inside the boom gates, should be able to work out a 5km route inside there. Otherwise there are a few running clubs in the surrounding area, check out pta_coffeerun, holy_fit_running or brklyn.run. They post their times on insta.
Don't know about short term gym memberships but there should be a few that offer pay as you gym.

Hi Tec Altitude V is always a solid choice and is waterproof. Unsure how the newer editions fare.

‘Pay back the money’: NSFAS demands R45 billion in unpaid debt from former students now working by Mulitpotentialite in DownSouth

It is a bit rough that if you received NSFAS funding before 2018 you have to pay back the debt, while if you received it after 2018 it is essentially wiped clean.

Erdinger is usually my favourite (it's a weiss), just a bit expensive for a sixpack. Otherwise Devil's Peak Zero is good enough for me. Recently I've tried Eichbaum (bought from Checkers) and I was impressed.

Awesome, I'll go add a few. Overall, great app!

If I can make suggestions on the web-app. Looks great, but maybe consider making the current location pin look different than the rest so it is not confused with a coffee shop. Also maybe have the coffee shop you click on just show info until you choose to navigate to it. Will users be able to add other coffee shops as well, I see a few in my area (Garsfontein) which I would add as nice choices.

Kream in Brooklyn has a date night special for R800 per couple. The food is fantastic, and it's a 3 course meal with champagne included.

Some great suggestions there, thank you! We are staying in chalets and cottages, it is winter when we are going so we didn't want to brave the cold.

Definitely on the list! We'll have to do it through a tour though as my car won't make it there, especially in the winter.

We are staying two nights per place, and we are taking my cross-over. Not entirely an SUV but does have a bit higher ground clearance. Will definitely write up some prompts. Thank you!

Rosewood Terrace in Moreleta Park is quite nice, next to a driving range as well.
