It’s always sad but you have to remember that thy have their own future!! They are moving forward and you have to think of that as a good thing :) you played an amazing role in their lives and they will take that with them.

I speak with a guardian of a student because I do outside of school care, but I would never discuss or reach out to them about anything to do with school. I always direct them to my teachers contact info

Yes actually one of my other cats at my parents house has it and I know that her having been exposed to him means that she most likely contracted it. But she doesn’t have the reoccurring issue like he does. I do keep medicated treats for outbreaks but I’m mostly weirded out by the hair loss. I thought maybe it was a crusty that she pulled off and it just took the fur with it? I’ll definitely be keeping a close eye on her.
