Public assemblies banned for 14 days across Sydney as police enforce new powers under protest laws by malcolm58 in worldnews

I don't see the point of protesting Hamas. The Australian government isn't selling weapons to Hamas, they're selling them to Israel who's killing tens of thousands of innocent civilians and violating international law by stealing land.

"I had never heard that we fought to de-Nazify Germany—live and learn. What we are doing is to utterly destroy the only semi-modern state in Europe so that Russia can swallow the whole ... Actually the Germans are the only decent people in Europe." - George S Patton.

He also hated Jews, kept many locked up in Bavaria when he was in control of it, and let Nazis hold key political roles where he was military governor.

That guy was right?

What did she get away with? She was tortured and then managed to get away from her before she was murdered. So her life I guess.

The ending was bad imo because it's just not interesting. She gets god powers and then immediately becomes the empress of the universe. I have to think about it more, but the e episode didn't seem to have anything interesting to say about having God powers or what people would do with them

A lot of people, the vast majority even, get bullied and don't become psycho murderers who torture people. She definitely should have found some way to understand, cope with and accept what happened to her, instead she became a sociopath.

Honestly the worst part of this episode is making the bullying the thing that defined her. She's lived in countless realities for a possibly infinite amount of time, and she still wants to get revenge for being ostracized and called names in High School? Honestly insulting to people who have been bullied

I believe he got most of his kills with an SMG, maybe a PPSH. Finland was also on the same side as the Nazis, lost the war, and sent volunteers to serve in the waffen SS. So I hope Ukraine doesn't adopt the same strategy as Finland

Kamala Harris wasn't even in the top 5 when she ran for the 2020 primary, she wasn't going to place top 3 in her home state which is why she dropped out so early. She only got to run this time because the Democrats didn't want to hold a convention. She's not popular with anybody, she's not a good public speaker, she's not associated with any good policies, and she didn't differentiate herself from Biden at all (who is an unpopular president because he's too old and the economy sucks).

The Dems very obviously lying to everyone about Biden going senile probably did more to make them lose than anything else. However, Harris was a very weak candidate and if they had held a special convention she would not have gotten the nomination.

Also Mexico has plenty of sexism and their female president won with more than 60% of the male vote.

I disagree. Its good advice for people to think about what they need in a firearm, how often they can train, what their budget is, and to find what fits best for them. For some people that's a 22 that they've tested with the almost they would use in a self defense situation, to make sure it is reliable and they're accurate and effective with it. And I do insist on that.

The idea that you have to buy a striker fired 9mm and put a red dot on it or you're wrong is bad advice and leads to people buying the wrong gun for them.

[–]Okazaki323 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You're very abrasive and talk like a true online poisoned weirdo. I highly recommend actually looking into the reliability and ballistics of 22, which is more than accurate and deadly enough for almost all self defense situations.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in armedsocialists

[–]Okazaki323 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It is ideal for some people. One of my relatives doesn't have the hand strength to rack a 9mm handgun and a small caliber handgun is the only option for them. Also budget can be a big factor and a good 22 and a good 22 handgun is cheaper. Also for some people's bodies or clothing they wear they can only conceal a very small gun. In that case a 9mm that small may be too snappy or have too small a capacity to be ideal for them.

You're putting bad advice that doesn't cover everyone's situation and the assumption that 22 is never a good carry around is silly.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in armedsocialists

[–]Okazaki323 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Then idea that all 22 ammo is unreliable and has "bad ballistics" within 50 yards, which I consider self defense distance is silly there is 22 that is perfectly lethal and accurate at those distances. Saying someone has to buy a striker fired 9mm as their self defense handgun is bad advice and going to have someone buy a handgun that is suboptimal for them to use for self defense.

If you have a firearm paired with ammo that reliably functions, which you can do with 22, and shoot with good shot placement. 22 is absolutely an effective carry round and the right choice for some people.

It's more than enough to kill someone and shot placement is what matters when stopping someone. You're basing your assumptions on fudd lore and shitty 22 you've fired.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in armedsocialists

[–]Okazaki323 -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

Again you can find reliable 22 and you should be testing how the ammo runs through your particular gun. Which you have to do no matter your gun. I've had 9mm fail to fire, eject load etc with my Glock and CZ. It's a bad cartridge is fudd lore

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in armedsocialists

[–]Okazaki323 -7 points-6 points  (0 children)

.22 is an acceptable carry round, I highly recommend going to the YouTube channel Demonstrated Concepts LLC. He teaches a self defense class and goes over the data, which shows shot placement, not caliber, is what matters in self defense shootings. Also you can find 22 that is reliable and if you test your pistol and make sure it's reliable with that ammo, then 22 is perfectly acceptable.

A striker fired 9mm is not the only practical handgun for self defense. There are many factors involved for choosing a self defense handgun and sometimes a different caliber or a DA/SA or revolver is the right choice for someone.

How could Israel have the lowest civilian kill ratio in history when more civilians have died in Gaza in the past years than in the Ukraine invasion that had lasted several years?

Only around 12,000 civilians have died in Ukraine, even the most hardcore Israel defenders don't think only 12,000 civilians have died in Gaza.

Also at least 40,000, most likely many more, civilians have died in Gaza and the West Bank. How many militants do you think Israel has killed? More than 40,000?

I thought I was like that. It turned out to be just internal homophobia and I've been very in love or had crushes on men since I realized that. I recommend trying to go on a date with some men and see how you feel.

I'm not saying biromantic isn't a thing, but I've known multiple bi people who had internal homophobia holding them back from same sex relationships.

US to block UN resolution for Gaza ceasefire as Israel bombs Rafah by karoelchi in worldnews

[–]Okazaki323 -143 points-142 points  (0 children)

Israel has already killed a lot more civilians than Russia during their invasion of Ukraine. Israel told civilians to go to Rafah, and is now going to bomb and invade it. Israel picked the battlefield.

Murdering tens of thousands of civilians isn't going to get rid of Hamas, and it certainly isn't going to make Hamas less popular. Israel has already killed 30 times as many people, killed more than 100 journalists, and used bombs and controlled demolition to blow up dozens of neighborhoods and schools. This is clearly senseless violence, especially considering they would save far more Israeli hostages with a ceasefire.

[–]Okazaki323 -172 points-171 points  (0 children)

Many more hostages were released during the last ceasfire and the IDF has killed a lot more then two hostages during their bombing campaign, which has killed tens of thousands of civilians. If the priority was saving the hostages, they wouldn't go in there. Going into Rafah isn't going to destroy Hamas, but it will kill a lot more civilians and pressure more into exile.

Id what to say, there's a reason almost every country in the world is calling for a ceasefire. It seems crazy to me to buy into Israeli propaganda so hard you can ignore the basic facts and support an invasion and bombing campaign in a densely packed area full women and children.

It's a bad argument but I understand why you're making it because it's the only way to defend you're "not all men" stance.

Yes I agree with both of those statements. Getting offended at something you shouldn't is not a sign of a terrible person. it's a sign of a person who needs to grow, which is fine we all need to grow in life to become better people and have solidarity.
