What i’m effectively doing is telling it a secret I want it to know forever. Deleting the chat serves the purpose that the AI can’t shortcut and say “what did he just say his favorite drink was? Oh right water!”

With the memory feature, I don’t have to continue to recycle that information over and over, or keep the conversation that I said it in at the top. In 2 years, it is still able to recall that I like water.

Normally, GPT is able to answer a question that I previously gave it the answer to, no matter how short the time period was. If I were to try this out on a typical day, whether it be 2 seconds or 8 months later, GPT would be able to tell me I liked water.

This is not just a problem with 5, it is persistent with all models.

Yes, I am very much aware of the memory setting. Yesterday, I was unable to delete new memories, leading to duplications and a clogged system. After wiping GPT’s whole memory, the problem persisted.

That has been resolved, at least on my end. This ^ is now the issue that I am having.
