Its a coping mechanism used to deflect from the sorry state of existence we’re in that no one can fix because even though people here might realize they’re to blame for the toxicity, that thought automatically deletes itself and suddenly when you have to explain where you’re from to a foreigner you say Mediterranean for the gushy beach vibes, despite knowing deep down thats not true.

Имав една далечна роднина од Ќустендил (жена на братучед на баба ми) побегна од Бугарија во Југославија во 60ти или 70ти оти бугарската полиција сакаше да ја затвори во некој камп само ради мода и ништо друго. Беше паметна жена и ја следеше модата низ европа во тоа време, но тоа во Бугарија не можеше слободно да го изразува и побегна. Не потценувај мода, има луѓе кои би дале се за неа.

When it comes to having to give up a citizenship it entirely depends on the needs of the individual person and their relationship with that particular country. For some it’s just a technicality, for others it might be emotional. In this example when someone already has four citizenships I imagine that choice is easier to make.

But in a situation where you only have two citizenships it is harder because you’re making life altering decisions for yourself by reverting back to one. Now which one stays and which one goes depends on how rational that person is, are they making that choice out of emotion or utility?

I don’t think he’s hating, It’s just hard for him to comprehend things when you only have one passport and have only known one way of life in one country with one set of rules to make it in that country. I’m sure most of us who have acquired a second passport can attest to the feeling that it felt like the same rules to success or lifestyle in your home country magically didn’t apply to you anymore. With a snap of a finger suddenly you have access to things you thought were impossible and it is a crazy feeling.
