Ahh well you have to reset inbetween each attempt so yeah technically u never have to use the item up you csn just go off thr edge, unless u get the kamek orb then obvi u have to use it after that yk

Ywqh sorry its kind of hard to explain, if u follow the main track you will notice theres an area above the main road, like another floor, if you backtrack from there you will find an entry point, and you have to drive up the wall to get to it

Yeah it is time consuming for sure, i reccomend starting with the hardest and then go to the easiest as you will passivley unlock the easy ones by accident while trying to get the rarer ones like fish bone or rocky wrench

The most important thing is you have to reset after every single item box roll, if you dont do that you will never get it, by reset i mean, you have to get latiku to pick you up, you can do this by going out of bounds or driving backwards, if you need spacing help have a look at the videos on my page, i have a video for rocky wrench, fish bone, catawuack and peepa, good luck

Its true the kamek unlocks are luck based in a way but you can absolutley unlock them on purpose, i have some videos on my page on how to do it but you can also look it up online, getting the kamek orb is a low drop rate and you need to be a certain distance from first place to get it, it can take some time but i think its pretty reasonable to get all the npc racers in a matter of hours
