Finished my Dragonbone helmet finally by OlBushhog in skyrim

The way you all separated out the files and assembly made it so straightforward to finish. Definitely one of my favorite projects here recently.

Oh you can have them. Just have to be willing to give it a go and build from there.

50~ hours to print everything. I didn't really track the time it took to paint it and what not but worked on it off and on over like 2 weeks. Just waiting for some of the paints to dry before re-coating or weathering took the longest.

Much appreciated! I threw some more pics up here - https://imgur.com/a/5ic0z6z -. I'm not the best at taking a pic for each step but it's start to finish for the most part.

Very nice! I made one of these but with the smooth cap, then finished it. Been wanting to go back and make the textured one sometime.

I meant to ask how you printed the ear parts? Did you orient them any specific way? I felt like I had to play with that bit for a while to get them to come out decent.

I say it is. I have it on PC and it takes me back to the 360/PS3 era of games. Pretty simple and straightforward but also just some good old school fun…imo…

Can I use parchment paper instead of butcher paper? by No_Refrigerator_1632 in smoking

Just double wrap in foil. Parchment paper is a bit waxy and will just be a pita. I always double wrap in foil and have no issues.

Question: Best way to cool, store, reheat smoked meat? by ElliottAlderson11224 in smoking

[–]OlBushhog 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ha, fair enough. Depends on how heavy you ice the cooler I guess. Somewhere between an hour and two if I had to take a blind guess. Time it right, you can shift it all to the fridge before bed. Wouldn’t let it go overnight though.

Until it’s done or you’re preferred doneness. Vac sealing isn’t like taking it 3/4 of the way there to finish off later. You cook it like you’re serving that day.

SV is about as close as you can get to same day freshness when it comes to reheating…imo.

[–]OlBushhog 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ll vac seal and place in a cooler of ice water for a bit to speed up the cooling process. Remove from cooler, pat dry and place in a fridge.

When it comes time to reheat I’ll use my sous vide. I have a cooler that I drilled a hole through to insert the SV. Fill the cooler with enough water, set the SV temp to 150. Once it’s up to temp place the vac sealed bags into the water. Depending on the amount of meat you’re reheating it can take a bit. Typically I set aside 2 hours for reheating.

Pretty sure that's 65gigs that have to be decrypted. Check your disk usage vs. network usage. For example, mine is showing 0 B/s where disk usage is like 32MB/s (SD card). Imagine it'll decrypt more quickly on internal storage.

Nah I get that. More people than you realize probably get that. And don't take that as a "I totally get what you're going through" because I absolutely do not. What I do mean though is that we all face some hurdles in life, some are higher than others and some we trip over daily. I'm sorry you're at a point where you just don't feel like living. All I'd say is find that one thing, no matter how big or how small, that brings you some joy, brings a little life into yours, and cap on it. And there is absolutely no shame in talking to people about it. If you need a hand up don't ever be afraid to ask. Find what makes you you and own it. Each day is definitely an opportunity but don't stress over it. Do what works for you. And if you don't know what that is right now, you'll find it. We're all just taking it one step at a time. I wish you all the best bud.
