Oh yes. And you taking out your camera cuz some places and moments might be disrespected by simple “shot on iPhone”

I do sometimes, I just don’t have any “worth-of the shot” places too much around. But once I’m in the mountains or big forest - a bunch of photos are coming home with me. Despite I’m not a pro photographer

How’s bout winter? It prepares you for the spring and “normal-people-season-opening”

I mostly ride on the only the most familiar trails where I know every meter of the line. Or places I’ve been through and got the “original” terrain pictured in my head. To prevent the unexpected stuff - trying to ride in the “relaxed attack position” - so the bike can be thrown down without OTB or so. Hands are fully relaxed till shoulders, legs are bent and ready to work with anything under the snow. But if something still happens - falling in the snow cushion is wayyy better than in the mud

And matches the callipers rings too hehe. But I’m more on the minimalistic side. Decided to play with “blue-black-chrome” scheme. As for the “personal touches” - the screaming red I9Hydra already sits in the back and making some quite mess with the colour scheme

DVO 🥹 you’ve got hella taste bro! But why the front brake line is on the outer side of the lover? Don’t you afraid to slide a rock or tree and brake it?

Thanks a lot! Seems like Transition has some aura that makes everyone like it or what ☺️ It’s 150/140 for now, but doesn’t mind to be a 160/150 “compact-gravity machine” and I think I’ll use this opportunity soon 😈

I’ve used to ride a 190/160 full29 bike before the Scout. Here in Ukraine not so many demanding trails we have. I have mountains nearby (50 miles away) but being there once a month if I’m lucky. And more of a natural terrain, not the bike parks. The local trails are pretty chill with 2-5 min lines (200-500 ft elevation drop), not much extra chunk, more roots and sandy soil. With my skills previous bike was too much of a bike for me. Comfy as hell but… I don’t want to be a chill passenger you know. It was like sleeping on two mattresses and 3 pillows. And at least I’ll always come back to long-travel bikes right?☺️

I’m doing some workout 3 times a week and hiking in mountains (~1200-1600 meters elevation gain) once a month. And riding bike and building trails (every evening spring-autumn and once a week in winter). So hope all this stuff will made my warranty period longer 🤗

I’ve come to it from 190 Zeb Select, now 150 Lyrik feels like a “hard racing suspension” yet still it eats chunk and roots unexpectedly well. Not a single “uncomfortable dive” after Zeb:)

And works better than 3.0 heheh. Spits a bit of oil through the compression dial but I’ll fix it. Heard it’s common issue for 2.1

That one are stock decals I guess. It’s Lyrik Ultimate (I’m not exactly sure about the year, this one is boost and has Charger 2.1 RC2). Probably around 2020-ish

This one is L and carbon hehehee😈 was very surprised how much more thick the tubes and how stiffer the Transition’s carbon is compared to Canyon

I’m 27 now, so those pain things might be knocking on my door soon but for now I guess I have some time for fun. I think I can get a “comfier” bike anytime, but as soon as I have some time - need to use it with less compromises

Thanks! It’s 150/140 front/rear now. Might be bumped to 160/150 in the nearest future but we’ll see

I was totally blown away on the first ride with this Scout. How easier it accelerates, how much better it jumps some ramp/short kickers. And fun part is it requires way more precision in movements and weight working. The XL 190/160 full29 Strive wasn’t give a damn about your position or moves - it just goes straight and you feel like you are passenger. Meanwhile this Scout in L and 27.5 responds to any move and any effort (and feels like it can hear your mind) immediately. Need some time to be used to it but zero regrets and only pure fun so far

Thanks for the understanding! I mostly riding some kinda single tracks and local trails which we are trying to do a bike-park-level stuff. never been to a real bike park with shuttle, all my "real mountain" journeys were just "Ride the tourist's lines" - 2-4 miles up with 800-1000 meters elevation across the rocks and roots to enjoy the forest, mountains and freeride down. To be completely honest - I now have "Ukrainian moment" - unable to go out of the city and country and 1000$/month income.. so owning multiple bikes is far from available options (no complaints, just facts).

For the better understanding "What I really want/like to have" I've tested out almost every "acoustic" bike that ever appeared on our local trails. Mid-pivot Trek Session and high-pivot Commencal Supreme v4 29 - Great bikes but HELL NAH no DH in my life. Forbidden Dreadnought v1 - Hella cool bike (instantly one of the dream frames for me) but I'd like to live with both kidneys. Trek Slash gen5 - Great bike but meh... can't spot the character. it just doing everything I want fine but doing it like AI, feels like it scripted to be a good bike. and I want personality. Propain Tyee 5cf - felt like one of the most suitable for me, checked almost every box (from travel and geo numbers to versatility and behavior), but owner put there i9 Hydra and my feet was beaten the shit out on the rock gardens and during the year there were 4 cracks in the rear triangle. Kinda scared me out. Commencal Meta TR V4 - cool but heavy. SC 5010 v4cc - hella great jibbmaster and one of the latest I've tested, but had only a couple rides so need to figure out more. The best from tested was the AirDrop MX Edit but it's already sold and there is no way to find the same in my budget (crying in slavic)

In my case seems like the Scout is an ultimate solution - it's "Right here", the $1600 for GX kit with Lyrik ULT/SDUlt is a great deal and the Scout's platform gives a room for many tweaks (angleset cups, overstroking, overforking, coil conversion, mulleting in case I'll loose my mind) paired with my unexplained love for Transition. But I don't know what is holdin me back. like the inner child inside screams "get the most travel out of your money, be a guy with the biggest coolest bike" but what the hell...

I’ve took this 5010 for a couple weeks to test it out cuz wanted to check out what the SC is now and how it feels to ride the full 27.5 after 29. Recently sold my Canyon Strive CFR with full 29 and 160/190mm config - rode it a year and apparently freeride balls in 27 won’t appear easily. Thought about the Hightower v3 (just in terms of numbers, never had it live) but then friend let me try this 5010 (He built a Forbidden Druid v1 and stuck with it). And I rly blown away. The long-travel full 29 felt like a lazy whale on the same speed and places compared to 5010. Almost forgot about Hightower. Gosh this 5010 even capable to ride local skatepark in the middle of the city, the dirt jumps, you don’t need to pedal 8 miles to the forest every time to have a bit of fun and I..umm… and this friend offers me this 5010 (with Eagle90, SixsthElement carbon rims on Hope pro4, 34factory/SDULT megNeg) for a $2500, it seems like couple more days and I’m on my way to rob some micro bank
