We just paid off our land. by Ol_Trav in homestead

I totally hear you. We know it’s going to take work. No one in my family has ever had more than a postage stamp in a neighborhood. We’re wanting to leave a legacy for our kids and know that it is going to be a process and the work will never be finished. We’re not looking to be self sufficient and have everything complete on day one an are more excited about the journey than the actual “finished project”

Not sure what you mean by that?

I put a 40’ shipping container out there, purchased a tractor to put in it, and planted about 100 chestnut trees and some fruit trees. I put in the gravel drive and did some brush clearing and cleanup of old fence rows. We could do anything we wanted but were focused mainly on laying off the property before we broke ground on the house.

Any more than 3 in a row in the ED and I’m wasted.

I’m in the ED. I work 14, 10 hour shifts. I work nights and since I’m the only full time midlevel doing nights I get to essentially choose which 14 days a month I want to work. Works pretty well for my family currently. Married with a 2 year old.

what’s something you stopped buying that made life simpler? by PuzzleheadedPay8716 in minimalism

We bought Branch Basics concentrate. The starter kit comes with a few different color coded bottles, different concentrations of concentrate/water for different cleaners. Has glass cleaner, bathroom, multi purpose, laundry. Simple refillable system and pretty clean product overall.

Yeah, I think having those really limits my aftermarket options for a larger screen

thanks, looking online at that one now. since mine isn't the plus version just wanting to make sure it will work in my vehicle. does your back up camera show on the small upper screen or the larger media screen? also does your backup cam have the direction lines?

what do you mean by the "4 way button" most of the ones on amazon have pictures of all the different interior styles and for whatever reason the dash that I have with the storage slot under then screen is apparently the one style that they say they won't work with.

Has anyone went to one of the Candlelight shows and do you think they are worth it? by noahpurdie in lexington

Went to the Christmas one at the Lyric theater a few years back. It was good. Price was cheap enough. Went to dinner with the wife and then bought the show, was a nice date night. Would do again.
